Not to rain on your parade, but I've borne witness to speeds nearing 12MB/s before.

Mind you, this was at a university with a high speed internet connection (100Mbps) connected to another user from the same place over DC++. =P I've never seen anything faster than that, though I suppose downloading something from myself would be a sufficient test of that.

But yeah, congrats on the speed that I'll never ever get while at home in a billion years.

When all is at peace on the internets and usenet I can max out about 2.2MB sometimes reaching 4MB. Usually it hovers or 756kbs to 980kbs. This is on stupid comcast home connection.

I have a 4 mb connection (Costs 10 dollars a month with our TV plan)

But my average download clocks in at 600 k if its well seeded.

Anything under 6MBytes/s makes me bored, and anything under 2MBytes/s make me want to die :)

Guess I'm just a common Swedish person spoiled with my 100Mbit connection that I've had for a few years (before that I had.. only.. 10Mbit). Pretty good for 25 euro a month :)

And it costs like $60 - 70 bucks a month.. I think it comes with phone as well.. I AM SO ENVIOUS.. :(

wow you pay alot! my speed takes seconds to mintues for files at half a gb it takes a hour for things a gb

In Korea, it's WAY faster than the OPs.
