About shit on Brazil

Let's list!
  • Everything here is overpriced as hell
  • Government corruption is common as hell
  • Music here is shitty as hell, and it's lyrics commonly talk about sex and alcoholic drinks and more shit (for some stupid reason everyone like this), like hell
  • If you develop something, don't expect to get credits
  • Consider yourself a very lucky person if you visit Rio de Janeiro and don't get something valuable stolen
  • If eating shit starts trending, people near you will start eating shit
  • Don't go to São Paulo's streets at night (starting from 20:00) if you don't want to see the hell
  • Racism (well this is not that common), homophobia and xenophobia are very common here, so if you are... non-native or homosexual, don't expect to be respected by a good ammount of people
  • It's rare to find someone that wants to have a good future, normally they want to be dumbasses, frequently disrespecting people (teachers at most)
  • People here like to do something that others can do for free by horrend prices, like having to pay 120 brazillian bucks to install an open source CFW. (consider the item below)
  • Hacked consoles costs more than retail units (even soft modded ones)
  • Mobile internet connection is limited, you have to pay 40 bucks per month to have your speed slowed down to dial-up if you exceed 400 or less megabytes of traffic
  • And these companies want to fuck up with home connection too. The problem is, everyone uses them.
  • Don't expect your car fuel (gasoline) to be orange. Here, you will only find yellow fuel (because they fill gasoline with alcohol)
  • Don't use Uber. If you use it... you will eventually pass by some street that will throw a lot of rocks at you and the car that you are in.
  • If you want to have a future, people that don't want it may try to change you.
  • Dumbest government decisions. See yourself by staying up with news about Brazil.
  • The listing ends here, but there's even more.

It's pretty accurate, besides some minor stuff like the "Streets in São Paulo after 20:00 are hell", it's okay-ish until 22:00, after that, everything is closed and nobody's on the street, so it gets dangerous. Xenophobia isn't as common AFAIK, "gringos" are well-respected since people usually see them as richer/smarter than them.
I don't know about the Rio thing, since I live in São Paulo.
"It's rare to find someone that wants to have a good future, normally they want to be dumbasses, frequently disrespecting people (teachers at most)" It's kinda accurate, it depends on whoever you hang out, as a student finishing high school, I can see who wants to have a good future and who is screwed(and the ratio is bad).
"If you want to have a future, people that don't want it may try to change you."
Well, so far I haven't met anyone who tried to do this to me, and I seriously hope that I don't.

Besides that, everything else is accurate and I'm starting to think about leaving the country after I finish college and save some money if I can unless things get better in a 10 years span, I guess.

The cancer people listen to in norway is also like this

I'm blessed that I live in one of the best cityes in brazil, Balneário Camboriú, in the state of Santa Catarina, with a lot of german culture and one of the less violent and best economicaly.

The truth is, Brazil is almost a communist country, now a days it is a socialist country.

São Paulo is hell, if you wish to know Brazil, come to Santa Catarina... I also have English, Americans and Mexicans friends that came to my city ad they left their country to live here.

If you don't know Santa Catarina and cities like Balneário Camboriú, Florianópolis, Itajaí, Rio do Sul, Blumenau, Joinville... you don't know how good Brazil can be!

Whatch this video, it is about my city: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JschViwCXGU

Speaking of meatballs, what's the deal with meatball sandwich? How can people eat those? It's ROUND. Trying to bite those in a sandwich is a challenge. It's easier to eat a burger stacked with toppings. :ninja:
