I'll start this blog entry with a big message:
IF YOU DON'T WANT YOUR DISCORD ACCOUNT BANNED, YOU SHOULD STOP USING 3DISCORD RIGHT NOW!
So for the story, I started working on 3DiScord when I was bored and I discovered VitaCord, a Discord client for the Vita. I thought why not port this to the 3ds. It was rather simple to port, and I completed it in like 3 days. This first wasn't intended for release, but I was happy with the final result, so I decided to upload it. Sadly, the client doesn't work as a proper Discord client should: instead of using WebSockets, it works by requesting the messages to the API frequently. This is bad, and can get your Discord account banned. I didn't know this when I made 3DiScord, as I was simply porting VitaCord. Some of you may have noticed there hasn't been any 3DiScord updates for a while. That's because I've been through a lot of things (school, exams, vacation, etc...). Now, I don't have the time nor the experience to add WebSockets to 3DiScord, and I don't want anyone's account to be banned. Anyone is free to contribute to the project (add the websockets), that's what GitHub is for, but for now, no one should use 3DiScord. I sadly don't have the time to work on the project anymore. If you REALLY want to use Discord on your 3DS, use DiscordCTR by @MarcusD.
Thank you everyone who brought this to my attention (especially @MarcusD), and again I'm sorry to have put your Discord account in danger (everyone should be safe as long as they stop using it for now).
