A Story

The lemon began its life in a grocery store, fifty miles from its final destination. It was living happily among all the other lemons, but eventually, its time to be at the top of the pile came. The lemon was promptly picked up by a voluptuous female for reasons unknown, and was purchased.

It was soon immersed in darkness, as it found itself in a bag among many other companions from different areas of the store. It was jostled around for a couple of minutes, heard the sound of something opening, and then the shaking stopped. The bag then began to vibrate, and the sounds of what the lemon assumed to be a mechanical monster were made.

As the lemon was taken on its journey, all was going well until a large impact sent it reeling within the bag, and soon out of it. It was launched out the open window and landed against a curb. Thinking its worries were over, the lemon began to relax. Little did it know, terror was about to strike it.

The lemon was picked up by a vicious raccoon that began to carry it off to a destination unknown. Trees, bushes, unknowing people; all were passed on the lemon's perilous journey. Right then, the raccoon was confronted by a rather large dog. The raccoon dropped the lemon out of fear, and the lemon fell onto a large, seemingly unending slope.

As it finally came to a stop, it was far from the safety and comfort of the store and its fellow lemons. Looking around the best it could, it finally gave up and just sat there. Unbeknownst to the lemon, it had ended up on a storm drain and was being viewed by someone who would be curious of this very story.
