A day in Doubutsu no Mori! (N64)

I recently imported the N64 version of Doubutsu no Mori (or "Animal Crossing" to the rest of the world) and wanted to post some screenshots I took :3

(These are ALL taken from original hardware, albeit edited a bit in photoshop to make them look better...)

I read a lot about this a month or so ago. From what I gather, it's pretty much Animal Crossing that was on the Gamecube with item changes, a shrine instead of the Wishing Well, and a handful of other relatively minor differences. The biggest difference I know of is pretty much the graphical differences between the N64 and the GCN.

Still, it's a nice find since the N64 version of Animal Crossing never came to America. A fun thing to note: I believe this game actually translates to Animal Forest.

Yeah, it's pretty much the same. The top major changes:
1) Tortimer isn't in the game
2) Able Sisters isn't neither
3) Nor the museum
It's still a nice collectors item. It's also in short supply I'd imagine because it was released so late in the n64's lifespan (April 14, 2001 while the system died in Japan December 20, 2001). All-in-all it's a nice game that can go on my shelf of n64 games :D! (It's right next to "Hey You, Pikachu!" and "Densha de Go!")
P.S. I don't really own Densha de Go!... yet.

EDIT: I forgot to mention that when I got it, since it was pre-owned... It had a whole family saved on it. I was heart-broken when I deleted it :c

Awesome find! I love seeing the different versions of games because it's so different and pretty weird.

Speaking of meatballs, what's the deal with meatball sandwich? How can people eat those? It's ROUND. Trying to bite those in a sandwich is a challenge. It's easier to eat a burger stacked with toppings. :ninja:
