We Are One, But We Are Many (Bushfire Editon)

From Black Saturday, but this song represents Australia and the fact we will rebuild

We Are One (Bushfire Memorial Service)

We are one, But we are many,
And from all the lands on earth we come.
We share a dream, And sing with one voice.
I am, you are, We are Australian.

There are no words of comfort that can hope to ease the pain
of losing homes and loved ones, the memories will remain.
Within the silent tears you’ll find the strength to carry on.
You’re not alone, we are with you. We are Australian.

There are so many heroes, who's stories must be told,
they fought the raging fires of hell, and saved so many souls.
From the ashes of despair, our towns will rise again,
we mourn your loss, we will rebuild. We are Australian.

We are one, But we are many,
And from all the lands on earth we come.
We share a dream, And sing with one voice.
I am, you are, We are Australian.

I'm the hot wind from the desert,
I'm the black soil of the plains,
I'm the mountains and the valleys,
I'm the drought and flooding rains,
I am the rock, I am the sky,
    The rivers when they run,
The spirit of this great land,
    I am Australian.

We are one, But we are many,
And from all the lands on earth we come.
We share a dream, And sing with one voice.
I am, you are, We are Australian.

We are one, But we are many,
And from all the lands on earth we come.
We share a dream, And sing with one voice.
I am, you are, We are Australian.

I am, you are, We are Australian.

    Car troubles

Late last year my 2004 Astra (Holden/Opel/Vaxhaul) decided to start misfiring shortly after I fueled it up to go see my sister. Parked it at my mums and borrowed a car from my uncle

Since then I've replaced the spark plugs and coil pack, crankshaft sensor, fuel filter and still having it misfire.
I'm running out of things to change on it, namely the injectors and the ecu, the latter of which is $$$ I don't have.

So today to add onto this mayhem of my car not running properly, the car i'm borrowing has also started to play up, by running rough then normal randomly and the speedometer decided to die in it as well.
If anyone wants to be an angel and donate me a new car or $$$$ to get a new car I'ld be ever grateful lol.

Oh this also puts a stop on me working if I get a job in the next week or two :/

Thoughts on the Australian Bushfire(wildfire) Crisis and Climate Change

First of all, I'll try to keep this non-political

As I'm sure a lot of you are aware, Australia is on fire, 10-11 years ago, the bushfires or one of the worst ones (Black Saturday) of the season was quoted to be "the raging fires of hell.' which introduced a new level of fire danger rating in Australia - Catastrophic
This current bushfire season is a lot worse than the aforementioned one of Black Saturday. So far, the area burnt is over 6,300,000 hectares (16,000,000 acres; 63,000 km2; 24,000 sq mi), with over 2,500 buildings destroyed and 24 fatalities and half a billion animal lives lost. (wikipedia)

These fires are larger than what the Californian or Amazon fires were.

These bushfires(Wildfires) are unprecedented and on a scale worse than ever before. People are getting sick from the air pollution from the smoke, buildings have shut from the smoke triggering alarms, people have been seeking shelter on our beaches, thousands have been evacuated. NSW has declared a state of Emergency.

and for some reason, our government cut funding to the firefighters earlier last year.

Bushfires have always been a part of Australian history and will be to come, but there are a few different reasons why they are getting worse.
    1) Controlled Burning - this method was even used by the First Australians to help control the bushfires, by reducing the fuel there was to burn, however, this seems to have been reduced
    2) Drought - Not much we can do about this one, however, we can help in with point 3
    3) Climate Change - Australians can help reduce our carbon footprint, however, the government doesn't want to do this or even talk about it at this very moment and would rather approve/building a new coal mine (again the government's decision - see Adaini) or go on holidays to Hawaii

So whilst climate change does play a part in these worsening fires, it's not the sole cause.

EDIT: A CSIRO (Commonwealth Scientific and Industrial Research Organisation) report in 2009 stated:
The report can be found linked below with the quote on page 20, under section 5.4 - Potential changes in future fire weather risk.

    I figured I'll do this

I'm in my mid 20's and currently unemployed suffering from depression and anxiety, while this is manageable for me a lot of the time there are a few times when it isn't, it's in those times I see a side of myself I don't like to admit, and as such, I've decided to post something an open letter I wrote last year during one of my worst bouts of depression.

Lately, I've been playing DDLC which surprisingly enough doesn't really trigger me, but I am using jokes about just hanging around when I'm feeling lonely... bad move I know. Anyways onto the letter

    Possible trigger warning

It was in this time of depression that I realized the worst parts of myself, using underhanded tactics to get what I want. I don't want sympathy or anything like that, I just want to let people know some of the thoughts I have when I'm in my darkest hours..

    And I'm rambling again.....

    Rest easy Oppy

Valentines Day in Australia while it is still the 13th of February in America from 2019 onwards marks a sad day in history

For those of you who don't know what I'm talking about, I'm referring to the Mars rover Opportunity, who on this day, was officially retired/killed as the result of a planet wide dust storm in June 2018. Since the storm covered Oppy's solar panels with dust and we lost connection, we would need to wait for winds to blow the dust off, which it did, but alas after several thousand attempts of re-connection with the rover, it's mission has finally ended.

Oppy was only meant to last 90 days but outlived everyone exceptions by living for 15 years and has come to rest in the most appropriate named place; Perseverance Valley.

Oppy's final words last year are believed to have been "My battery is low and it’s getting dark.”

I wasn't really a fan of Macross until 2015/2016 when the latest series aired, Since then I've watched all of the franchise (excluding Macross II and a few movies)

I honestly don't mind them and tonight I've started re-watching the first macros series I ever saw, Macross Frontier, my question is, how many others have seen it and enjoy the franchise,

Yeah I know its hard to find in english, we can thank harmony gold for that....

I wonder, have you ever been trapped in a cycle of work, sleep, work, sleep.
I know I am, I get very little time to myself these days with work and it's wearing me down.
I was an active member of my local pop culture community but due to various reasons including my mental state, I had to step down from that.
How do people do it? How can someone live day in and day out without their life becoming a bore?
Seriously, this cycle is making me see my life in a monochromatic way, with nothing exciting or vibrant happening in it.
I applaud those who have been doing it longer than me, but sometimes I wish things would change up and get exciting.

Okay, so on occasions I'll listen to a song and if I feel a connection of sorts with it or I relate somehow to what is been sung, I'll often post the lyrics from the song. So here is the first lot of lyrics

"Thy Life is a riddle to bear rapture and sorrow
To listen, to suffer, to entrust unto tomorrow
In one fleeting moment from the Land doth life flow
Yet in one fleeting moment, for anew it doth grow

In the same fleeting moment thou must live, die and know"
