-===============================-

-----------------------------------
2.0 - LAUNCH GAME

Choose the first icon on menu, open
SDCard folder, the games is listed

There are TWO mode for different
game and circumstances.
-----------------------------------
2.1 - PSRAM Mode
----------------
This mode is working with game
size <= 16Mb, it loads fast but it
needs loading time every game run.

In the game browser, press A to run
the game in PSRAM mode.

2.2 - NOR Flash Mode
--------------------
This mode has "no" size limit. It
needs more time to write the game
to the NOR memory, but the game(s)
will then launch immediately.
You can write multiple games to
NOR memory with maximum total size
of 32Mb.

PLEASE DO NOT USE TRIMMED GAME
        IN NOR FLASH MODE

In game browser, pressing SELECT
will prompt you to write selected
game to NOR. A=YES, B=NO.
The game will then be listed in
file manager. Press A to launch.

-===============================-

-----------------------------------
3.0 - Save Mode

EZ4 kernel uses SRAM chip to keep
the game save data, the kernal
will backup the data on every boot
Press L during boot to skip it.
The game saves stored in folder
named SAVER.

Note: Save mode is deprecated, EZ4
will always create a backup.
-----------------------------------
3.1 - Optional
--------------
Save file from the last played
game is written to the memory card
on boot (if the SRAM contents were
altered ie. you saved or changed
the options in game), but you can
skip this process by holding 'L'
on bootup.

Note: Save skipping is only
temporary, the EZ IV will continue
to try and write the save on every
boot until you load another game.

Note 2: If you accidentally hold L
on bootup (or from an in-game
reset), inadvertently skipping the
saving process, just switch off,
then back on again to write the
save.

3.2 - Always
------------
Will always write the save from
last played game.
This setting is basically the same
as "Optional" but without the
ability to skip the save writing
process.

-===============================-

-----------------------------------
4.0 - FOR ADVANCE USERS
-----------------------------------
4.1 - Auto Patch Engine (APE)
-----------------------------
In EZ4kernel 2.00, APE replaced
EZ4Client, you can copy the clean
rom to SD card directly instead
patching them one by one with
EZ4Client.

A patch file will be generated at
the game's first time launch, the
patch files are stored in a folder
named PATCH on SD Card. They will
be used in the next launch and
reduce loading time effectively.

4.2 - Global Softreset & Sleep(GSS)
-----------------------------------
In EZ4 Kernel 2.02, GLOBAL
SOFTRESET AND SLEEP(GSS) was
implemented.
default softreset key combination
is L + UP + B, default sleep key
combination is L + R + START,
default wake up key combination is
START + SELECT.

Note: Key combination changed in
this modified kernal.

Some games can not apply the GSS
patch properly, you can use L+B to
launch them without GSS patch.

If you want to set your own hotkey
combination, there is a file named
KEYSET.CFG in the EZ4Kernel 2.02
package. please check it out. This
file must placed in the root of SD
card.

4.3 - Hard Reset
----------------
Some games with anti-piracy
technolgy need a hardreset before
launch, you can do it with key L+A
and you can set global hardreset
launch with A only, by modify the
KEYSET.CFG file in the above topic

4.4 - Update Firmware (default)
-------------------------------
1.Download the newest firmware on
EZ-FLASH official site and extract
it to the root folder of SD card.

2.Power up GBA/NDS with R key
pressed, the card will go to the
firmware upgrade procedure
automatically.

3.The new kernel will boot after
the upgrade finished, please check
the version on the top right
of the desktop.

4.You can delete the ezfla_up.bin
safely.
