SmashGp 0.4d (2005/09/06)

Here is the sixth beta of SmashGp, a N64 Super Smash Brothers "port".

Some bugfixes in this version, for example the multiple character pages are now
correctly supported (see the changelog).

To install it, just put smashgp.fxe AND the smashgp folder in the GP:\GPMM folder.

The controls are similar to Smash Bros on N64, but here's a remainder:

Pad: control your character
Up / Select: jump
A: simple move / take object / use object
B: super move
L: protection
R + A: catch someone (without object) / throw object (+ direction)
Start: pause
Start + Select: return to main menu

Chatboard controls:
W is up, A for left, S for right, and down is Z.
To move to the left while on the ground, hit 2 times A.
To move to the left while in the air, just hit A, and release it by pressing A
again or the other direction (S).
Q or Space for protection.
L is for throwing objects, press it just before the attack A button (.).
K is the jump.
. is the main attack.
M corresponds to B on the Gp32.

Character & arena loading improved. Now the game should not reboot any more, and load all sounds.
Other minor changes likes mines sticking to ground or more detailed arena preview.

Now, the game won't load the characters on startup, but just their description. And on
the character selection menu, it should load them when you select them, and then free
them if memory gets short and they're not needed.

Fixed bug timer continued when game paused.
Added pre-defined color adaptation to palette, so any palette files can be used.

Fixed bug in character loading that made the other characters loaded into the 1st character's moves bank.
Fixed bug that prevented the players to be knocked out when their protection bubble was broken.
Fixed bug in projectiles.
Better menu system.
External arenas loading.
Arenas now have customizable size, and their own music.
Characters now can embed their own projectile.
Added my 16 channels ASM sound mixer, so more sounds can be heard.
Options added, with load/save feature.
Added game modes, including time, stock and a survival mode (with highscore saved).
Sudden death can now happen.
Added a combo system.
Improved the AI a little bit.
