Wav Plug-in V0.92 For Pogoshell
Copyright (C) 2002-2003 Pat Crowe

WHAT IT DOES

It plays back wav files in pogoshell. The files
have to be PCM encoded, 1 or 2 channel (mono or stereo).
They can be any number of bits per sample up to 16.
they can be at any bit rate. Stereo works with headphones.

From V0.91 it will also play back a wav file encoded as
Microsoft-ADPCM. This file has to be mono and not more
than 22050 Hz, or it will not be played.

V0.92 has a bug fix. Interrupts not used are now turned
off. Stops a crackling effect reported by weaaddar and Horscht
(thanks).
Amplitude resolution is also now specified in the SOUND
BIAS word.

HOW TO PREPARE A FILE FOR MINIMUM SIZE

Use an application such as Goldwave to convert
your wav file to 8 bit PCM mono, with a sampling rate of
18157 bits per second. This gives a smaller file size
optimised for the playback sampling rate.

From V0.91 you can also output as MS-ADPCM. This is a 4 bit
format and results in smaller files, although the quality
suffers (quite badly in my opinion).

HOW TO INSTALL
