I'm quite old fashioned. And I've learned by experience that updates breaks/kills hardware instead if improving it (definitely not saying it for Windows 10... at all...)

So, I've been pushing aside my phone's notifications to update from Android 9 to 10.
Yet again, I'm wondering uf you guys have moved already, and if so... us it worth it? It changes/improves/breaks things?

Please let me know before I decide whether or not update my Android phone.

Thanks in advance, you're awesome.

I personally love the new gestures, you will struggle to get used to it in the first days, but when you get used to it... it's incredible, especially for phones with big screens, because you don't need to reach your finger down the screen to go back a page everytime. For the performance aspect, not much has changed, except some animations were improved, which makes the experience feel much smoother

It's a fine update. I don't really like gestures as I find them ergonomically uncomfortable, but everything else is good. Other than the fact that they removed third party clipboard management, so you cant share your phone's clipboard with your computer through things like KDE connect.

My Moto G5+ was only updated through 8.1 and I recently installed a custom 10 rom (ArrowOS) and I love it. It does take a bit of getting used to new things, but all in all I enjoy it much more. There is a version out now for Android 11 but it's still in the early builds stages so I'll hold off for maybe 6 months before installing that one.
