I created this topic because I don't know how to proceed.
I stumbled across several Homebrew titles for the NDS not listed here yet and thought I should inform the Homerbew Staff about it. However, I recieved no answers to my PMs to staff members (I waited ~2months), so I created this topic here.
Are we not allowed to inform the staff about Homebrew?
Thanks for your time.

Suikoden Tierkreis Undub Infos here
12 March 2009 - 10:44 PM
So, because I am certain this question will be asked in the next days:
Yes it is possible to undub Tierkreis. I created this post because people have asked in several threads already whether or not its possible to undub Tierkreis.
How to:
Thanks to GreenBanana who wrote detailed instructions on how to undub both the EU and JP versions. My old undubing guide can still be found below his. And yes, that's right- we are undubing the JP version as well! The reason? Undubing the EU version will not restore battle voices.
To undub the EU version:
1. Unpack the JP rom. This process will generate a folder containing the JP rom's files.
2. Navigate within the JP rom folder to: data\rom\
3. Copy the following:
- A. The movie folder.
- B. The ex1 folder.
- C. ds_data_vow.sdat
- D. sound_data.sdat
4. Unpack the EU rom.
5. Navigate within the EU rom folder to: data\rom\
6. Paste and Overwrite the following:
- A. The movie folder.
- B. The ex1 folder.
- C. ds_data_vow.sdat
- D. sound_data.sdat
7. Download and Unzip the suikosilence.zip file hidden somewhere in a link in this thread.
8. Copy the ds_data_hed.sdat file from the suikosilence folder that was unzipped.
9. Paste and Overwrite the ds_data_hed.sdat file into the EU rom's folder: data\rom\
10. Download the gukid font located somewhere in this thread. This is a file called gd_sysfont_jp.nftr.
11. Copy the gd_sysfont_hp.nftr file.
12. Paste and Overwrite this file into the EU version folder: \data\font\
13. Repack the EU rom, Copy it onto your Flashcard where M3Sakura is located, and Play.
To translate the JP version:
Outdated Undub instructions
Download both ROMS. Unpack the Japanese ROM und backup:
Now delete the unpacked files and unpack the Europeen ROM. Replace the files listed above with their Japanese counterparts. Repack the ROM.
As you can see, it's actually not that hard... Enjoy the nice Intro Song and the original voice acting (which is also less compressed -> sounds better).
Now, I wonder why the Japanese Movies are up to 20% larger in size each compared to the E Version. Propably because of the Sound encoding, which sounds slightly metallic in the E version due to heavy compression. Btw it's a shame they dumped the INtro Song in the localized version. =O
As of now, undubbing will cause the audio to be out of sync as soon as you arrive in Magedom. This applies to both the EU and JP undub!
But fear not, our community consisting of gamers enjoying original Japanese voices in their games already worked on some patches to solve this problem. Happy day. Here you go:
Desync fix by tsol based on shinbatsus work:
Post and download link
Font fix #1 gukid. InGame text is now pretty pretty and easier to read. Yay
Post and download link
Font fix (a new font, easier to read) by AshenPhoenix. Appearently fixes the Heros name being out of propotion with the rest of the text...
Post with DL link for new font and instructions
Old desync fix
Thanks to the all the people who posted valuable informations.
Also, not so interesting line in a batch file of the ROM, posting it anyway:
dtarc is a tool to build/pack the bins? hmmmm

Replace the root _hed.sdat with the one provided in this archive. Thanks to shinbatsu, who spend countless hours on the game playing it and fixing the pointers. Also, thanks to the all the other people who posted valuable informations.

Elebits Undub Patch
08 January 2009 - 09:53 PM
Elebits Undub

Well, the NA release Elebits just hit the streets (or the internet, if you will). However, it features English voiceovers.
So I made a undub patch (so I don't have to repatch my US Rom later again), and decided to post it here for all people who do not want to DL both versions and fiddle around with ndstool or Nitro Explorer.
Downlading the 4Mb patch takes less time than downloading both the US and JP versions.
Download Link Rapidshare XDelta3 Format 4Mb:
http://rapidshare.com/files/181175998/Eleb...dub_xdelta3.rar
Just unrar the archive and place the USA Rom inside the newly created folder. Then click on Patcher-Click_Me.bat (a batch file, contains plain text. Right-click on it and open it with notepad if you want to check its contents). It'll automatically rename the NDS file to elebits_orig.nds and start patching.
Download Link Rapidshare PPF Format - 26Mb:
http://rapidshare.com/files/181171344/Elebits_Undub-PPF.7z
Includes the PPF and PPFomatic V3. In case you don't trust the PPFoMatic EXE (no, I have no intentions to h4ck your porn
) or already got your own version, you can safefly delete it.
Both work, but I recommend the xdelta package as it's smaller.

YSMenu on R4 - Screen flickers when saving
30 September 2008 - 06:10 AM
Ok, thanks to you guys I managed to get YSMenu to work on my R4 (I used the Batch Pack R4YS since when I followed the steps of the YSMenu Tuorial I couldnt get it to create a r4dldi file >.>).
Now I noticed that, with DMA enabled of course, that the loadings time in Etrian Odyssey were a bit longer (only 1sec), and saving would take twice the time as with the R4 1.18 Firmware.
But what really made me raise my eyebrows is that on some games, the screen starts to flicker on the bottom screen in weird black horizontal lines while saving a game. As soon as the saving process is finished it's gone.
Happened to me in Final Fantasy IV US, Sumon Night US, and some other games.
Just wanted to know if that flickering is normal, or if something is messed up with YSMenu. After all, our SAV files are the most precious files on our microsd's!!
MicroSD is a Kingston Japan model.
