Okay, a few days ago I had a party, smash bros, blah blah blah.
Someone left my Wii "on," and accidently threw a blanket over my wii, which happened to be on the floor at that time (to get GC controllers to reach, I know it was an accident, whatever). ANYWAYS when I found it, the wii was super hot. I instinctively unplugged the power cord from the back of the wii after turning the wii off and putting it up on the stand to cool down.
A few days later:
Turn on the wii, "Press 'A' to continue..."
*press A*
It freezes. I panic for a few days, look into small solutions, when I find out that there's a "maintenance mode" for the wii (pressing + and - on the wii while pressing A to continue). That got me into the home screen. I can play games, everything normal.
I don't want this to happen again.
What do I install or modify to make it boot without maintenance mode? Is there some system file corrupted? (Been away from the scene for awhile)
I do have the homebrew channel, have installed the USB Loader (incl. all the IOS's that are req. to make it work), and back in the old days of Wii hacking installed Starfall and maybe some other stuff (it's been awhile...)
So, first question: How do I fix my Wii?
My friend has something installed on his wii, of which he doesn't remember the name. As soon as you boot the wii, you are presented with 3 icons (before "press 'A' to continue), and all i can remember is that the left one boots the wii menu. You have to press "reset" or something to select or move the cursor. It looks pretty helpful, but I'm out of the loop so who knows.
Last question: What is this called, and do I want it?
Thank you in advance.

Is there a way to transfer GC saves to PC?
14 August 2010 - 05:20 AM
I'm sure you read the topic, but is there a way (be it homebrew or... well, I don't know what else) to get a GC save file from my memory card onto my PC? There has to be some app somewhere that'd do it... Right?
Any help is appreciated. I know there's ways to do it if you buy an adapter, but it's really not worth it to me. I just want 1 game save off, so buying things is out of the question.
Thank you.

Text adventures for cell phones?
07 June 2010 - 01:08 AM
I've been really in the mood for text adventures lately, and I wanted to know if there's any for cell phones. Either that, or is there a number I can text and play one out through text messages?
If at all possible, I'd rather type out my responses on the keypad, but if there's a list of options I can choose from i guess that'll just have to do.
Thanks in advance!

Can't format microSD card
23 May 2010 - 06:40 PM
I cannot format my Sandisk 8gb miscroSDHC card. I have tried what i think is everything, but if you have suggestions, I'll try it, even if I already have.
This is the second card this has happened to, and I'm not willing to buy another one. Should I just give up on SD cards?
When I plug it into my computer, it gets extremely hot, and when Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit tells me to format it, it says that it's only a 30.9 mb card. I know this card isn't a fake, it used to work.
Please help!

Windows 7, laptop, instantly shuts down after maybe 10 minutes
10 May 2010 - 12:39 AM
So I have this laptop, with Windows 7 Ultimate. When the laptop isn't plugged into the wall (running on battery), i can get maybe 10 minutes (if i'm lucky) of power before it just *POW* shuts off. There's no shutting down process. I can't turn it on after this until I plug it into the wall. I know when I first got this laptop, the battery life was about 3 hours (it's a beast laptop, not one of those 10-hour things). Now, when running on battery, it says it could last 30 minutes. But it lasts much less.
Help?
Quick facts:
Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Acer laptop
One year old
Shuts down on battery power ONLY, after a few minutes of non-intensive process (internet, etc)
Annoying
Thanks in advance!
