I was wondering if Epic Mickey will be the last hurrah for the Wii. I mean its got to be the last third party big budget game for which the Wii is the lead platform.
Do you guys think that Nintendo will bring out anything worth playing after its launch or will it the last time this site has a buzz about it as a Wii game dumps.

Sadly I believe it could mark the end of an era.

]Is there any chance that we can get a button on the main page so to allow members to donate to the relief efforts for the people of Japan.

I know the site has a few members who live there and I think for all the country has given us gamers over the years it is only right we try to support them in there darkest days. I have not suggested who I think the donations should go to as I think that that is the decision of the site admins.

I have Bricked my wii

The machine was downgraded from 4.0 to 3.2E and had cIOS and HBC installed on it. The machine has a D2Ckey installed. I have tryed to boot the machine into recovery mode using a GC pad for a Savemii and have tryed about 30 times with different timeings holding the buttons down to no result I am just stuck with a black screen.

The brick was caused whin I tryed to run Metroid Prime Wii De Asobu with a English language patch applied. The game would not boot via Geko OS and was asking for an update, I stupidly thought that it would just result in dual weather and news channels and I could play the game. The update was applied very quickly and the wii tryed to reboot but since then all I have had is the black screen.

I am at a loss as to what I can do to fix it seeing as I cant get into the recovery mode. It seems wierd that I cant though becuse the system menu should still be intact shouldent it?

Any help would be great otherwise im gonna have to desolder a D2Ckey full 32 wire install and send it back to Ninty (not my idead of fun).

I'm having a little trouble with my copy of Mario Kart. I can do everything you would expect with the game as normal but whenever I try to install the Mario Kart channel I get a black screen my Wii becomes unresponsive and breaks connection with the remote. The only way to power down the machine is by holding down the power button until it goes red or pulling out the cord at the back. I am using the same medial I always do and I have NEVER had a bad burn with them before with over 60 different games run so far. I doubt that its a DRE as I have burnt 4 discs now with no success.

The weird thing is I have tried everything I can think of to sort it :

• Tried re burning the same ISO at 2x speed and verified as being fine.
• Tried downloading a full not scrubbed version of the game
• Tried running it using Freeloader ( don't know why that would help but I got desperate )

My specs are :

Pal 3.2E wii (wiiware not trucha)

• D2Ckey
• I have run both V1 and V2 of the channel remover.
• I regularly use the twilight hack to boot home brew so the chainloader is installed.

I know you can get to the Channel stuff ingame but its as much curiosity as it is want that makes me wanna get the thing working. I am worried that my instinct's say that it could be something to do with the channel remover but I could really do with figuring out whats wrong.

Any ideas guys/gals?
