I'm going to mod a friend's PSP soon, and apart from the information that it's a Darth Vader White PSP Slim, I have nothing else to go on. I'm not sure if Sony is retroactively putting the new motherboard into the PSP packs, but I'd like to be sure before I begin.
Is there a way I can tell what version of the motherboard he has just off of the serial number of the bottom? No box, so that's not an option.

Ripping and burning PS2 discs
20 October 2008 - 03:15 AM
Right. So I'm in the process of softmodding my PS2, and I realize that I never knew how to properly rip and burn the DVDs.
What program is best suited for the task? I presume the same program does both ripping and burning. What settings do I use, and all that good stuff?
At least I know that I'm going to be using DVD-Rs, but I just want to be sure that I'm doing rip/burn correctly. I hate wasting discs, you see. =P

Starcraft II x3
12 October 2008 - 02:30 AM
Righto, so here's the link.
What does it mean? Well, Starcraft II is going to be three games. There's going to be a Terran game, a Zerg game, and a Protoss game, each released in that order (and not a simultaneous release either). This basically equates to you having just that race to play as in campaign (unknown about multiplayer), and you are getting 30ish missions per race/game this time around. Not to mention, "branching storylines" has been hinted at, so we may have stuff like Terran Mission 12B or so on happening.
I don't know about this. Having to pay three times the price to get the full SC2 experience is bad to me. And it's currently unknown how multiplayer is going to be affected, but it can easily be guessed that you can only use the race for the version you bought. Good because it gets SC2 out sooner, but if you want to play as Zerg or Protoss, you'll not benefit by the Terrans going first. And if you absolutely must play all of SC2, it's going to burn a nice hole in your wallet (or internet connection). Details about online play would be nice...

Monster Hunter Portable 2G is NA-bound

I didn't see anything about this here (in a separate topic anyway, but), so here's the news.
No release date yet, but at the very least it's confirmed that the new edition of Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP has been slated to come out in English, much to the delight of MHF fans.
