Joey90's Pokémon Sprites

21 May 2009 - 12:16 PM

In reverse alphabetical order (for some inane reason) and irritatingly placed, they are mostly either a mix of pokémon or a pixel-over of the Sugimori artwork. I'm too lazy to sort them out, especially as there are nearly 200 of them. If you have any specific queries I might be able to answer them, also bear in mind that most (but not all) of them are requests from other people and I made them...

USB loader freezes with my Hard Drive

16 April 2009 - 06:19 PM

I bought a USB 2.5" IDE enclosure from DX (http://www.dealextre...ils.dx/sku.9478) and it works perfectly with my computer, however if it is plugged into the Wii and I run any version of the backup launcher, I get a black screen. If I run a version with the timeout, and have it unplugged, then it plug it in during the timeout, then it will freeze on that number. If I unplug during one of these freezes I get a code dump.

Anyone got any advice that might help, I haven't seen this problem before, (usually it just gives an error, rather than freezing)

I know the HDD in the enclosure is NOT the problem, as it works fine with a different adapter (but doesn't look as nice, plus I have other uses for it) and it does the same thing with other hard drives.

Brawl Texture Hacks - Stack Smash Release!

02 February 2009 - 10:08 PM

Sorry if you all already know this, but Stack Smash, the biggest texture hacking group for brawl (by far) have released all their textures, they have created an awful lot, and most are pretty good ( tongue.gif ) so if you are interested, now is a good time smile.gif

Hopefully you guys are going to have a better idea of how to do it than the people lurking at Stack Smash...

GRID awards

20 August 2008 - 04:10 PM

So I managed to 100% all the areas in Race Driver mode (3 medals on every challenge wink.gif )

But I only have 93000 reputation, and 5 cheats unsure.gif

I think there are random awards for doing stuff, but I have no idea what they might be. I think I got one for '5 clean races' or something, which I think means 5 races without crashing. And I think others for a total distance travelled etc.

Anybody know of any others/how to unlock the remaining things?

In case it helps, here's what I currently have:

USA: 27650
Europe: 26300
Japan: 27050

I'm not sure why items is 73/70 unsure.gif

EDIT: In Japan I only have 69/70 items...

My (Awesome) Mario models.

I saw a few other papercraft threads, but I feel that this really warrants its own:

As there are quite a lot of images I'll put them in spoiler boxes:

So how did I make them?

Well I found the original 3D models of the characters from Mariokart Double Dash (.3ds and .max format, if anyone wants them wink.gif )

I edited them in 3D Studio Max, to seperate parts, delete unnecessary parts, and adjust stuff.

Then using a program called Pepakura I turned them into a flat net, which usually required quite a bit of editing to make it usable.

Then I copy pasted the result into Paint Shop, and coloured in the Net.

Then I printed them off, cut them out, scored EVERY fold and tab, and glued them together. Which was by no means an easy feat.

Most of them have around 600 polygons, and use about 4 sheets of A4 Paper.

The large mario has 644 polygons, stands 85cm tall and used over 3 square metres of cardboard. lecture.gif

Also, my sister did help, she made the Yoshi, Peach and Petey models, and made a few parts of the big one.

Finally, if anyone wants to attempt these themselves I can post the original nets that I made, though some credit (somewhere) would be nice smile.gif

P.S. Feedback is welcome wink.gif
