Yesterday my World of Warcraft account's security was compromised. One of my characters inventory was sold off & money taken (BUT bank, equipment & other stuff was left alone)
I'm generally a pretty paranoid person when it comes to security, and I really do have no idea how this has happened. I browse the internet with Firefox making use of the addons - NoScript, Flashblock & Adblock Plus.
I've changed my email & account passwords (on a separate secure computer), ran a virus scan with NOD32 (which is updated daily), ran a Spybot S&D scan.
Note: I'm the only person who has access to the account & the computer with WoW installed.
I do NOT do the following: Log in at Cyber cafes, download cracks/keygens, visit spoof sites.
Any tips/recommendations that you guys can offer?

LAN gaming recommendations
06 July 2009 - 11:16 AM
Hey guys,
Friend of mine hosted a LAN party last weekend, we played mostly TO & Civ4. We're keen on having LAN parties every month, so just wondering what kind of games Geekzone users usually play at LAN parties.
Our gaming rigs aren't that new, most of them are 3~4 years old, so new games won't work very well. Plus newer games tend to frustrate us when they don't work due to piracy protection BS.
So far, we've come up with the following:
RTS:
Civ 4
Age of Empires 2
FPS:
TO
Battlefield 1942/Unreal/Quake 3 (we're not sure about this because some games limit you to 2 users per CD key on a LAN)
Any suggestions?

Retro Macintosh Treasure

I really miss this one macintosh game, back in the days of Lemmings & Sim City. It would've been around when I was 8 (I'm 21 now!)
I don't actually know the game's name, which is why I'm calling out GBATemp to help me find this long lost treasure of mine.
So here's a description of the game.
The map has metallic dots all over it in an even square pattern like :: , as well as lightsaber-ish sticks going around these
metallic dots, either the same metallic dot or following a pre-determined pattern. There used to be "mines" on the map as well.
You played as a lightsaber-ish stick, going from metallic dot to metallic dot. You could only go horizontally & vertically, not diagonally. The aim was to either get to the end of the 'stage' OR to hit all dots at least once.
If you hit the mines or another stick, you died.
There were about 20-25 levels, and I THINK this game was actually a demo, where once you get to the last level, this ad comes up with stuff like "unlock the game to 100 levels!" bla bla bla.
Here's a description of the mac model it was on.
I'm not sure, but I think it was around late 1996 - early 1999 and my school had recently updated their computers to the iMac (Bondi Blue)

So GBATemp, help me find this one game that I wouldn't dare pirate! It's far too precious to me!

Called "Unofficial R4 cheat.dat" on this forum or something. The search function won't let me look it up so was wondering if any of you had it bookmarked T_T
