[EZ 3in1] Coin battery lithium 3v CR1220 with tabs

15 January 2012 - 11:04 PM

Hi.

I tried to find the exact model of the ez 3in1 battery because mine need to be replaced and found out it was not that easy.

I wish to have your opinion about how easy is to find a battery replacement for this flashcart expansion.

Thanks

iSmartMM SDK

29 December 2011 - 10:13 AM

Hi there.

Maybe some of you will think this post has nothing to do with the dstwo SDK section, but i think it has to be here.
The iSmartMM is a flashcart based on the iPlayer hardware. The CPU onboard is an ingenic JZ4730 like on the Dingoo.
On the dstwo, it's the JZ4740.
The iSmartMM also has some plugin available like on dstwo, but they are specific to its hardware : movie player, NDSGBA, iSmart Linux (dingoo port).
You can't use them directly on dstwo without porting them.

Now the point of my post here.

I asked several time the team behind this flashcart to release the SDK of the iSMM and they never answered (accepted ?).
I checked the dstwo SDK and from what i understand it's probably possible to adapt it so it can compile proper plugin for the ismm.
Avenir already released a tool to unpack/pack .plg files from the dstwo and the ismm so it's possible to get the ismm.dat firmware from an existant plugin.
Now i'm wondering if someone is able to adapt the dstwo SDK to the ismm hardware so we can at last share the projects between both flashcarts.

Why i ask that in there ?

Because i believe there is a chance to find someone interested in doing this here.
Both part of the community, ismm and dstwo, has something to gain in this alliance. The ismm will have more plugin (alek maul promised me to port his mame emulator to the ismm if he get the SDK) and the dstwo will have its linux (i have the sources of the iSmart linux).

Thanks for reading.

webOS goes open source

HP has finally decided the fate of webOS today, and it's an open one: the platform will be contributed to the open source community. The company says that it will be an "active participant and investor in the project," and that its ultimate goal here is to accelerate development. In other words, it doesn't want to pump the amount of money into webOS that would be required to make it fully competitive, so it's looking to the public to help make that happen.

CyanogenMod 7 Alpha 2 Build for the HP TouchPad Released

19 October 2011 - 09:31 PM

Less than a week after the first alpha build of the most popular custom ROM out there, the CyanogenMod team has released an update to their TouchPad port. It's still an alpha build, so expect a lot of things not to work quite right. However, you should see some improvements over the last version.

Quote

Changelog:
(AKA things we hope we fixed)
* Plugging headphones in should now shut off speaker volume
* Battery drain issues have been (partially) addressed
* More apps now available in market (thanks to Flemmard)
* Temporarily removed suspect fsck_msdos to fix random folder deletion on media/sdcard.
* At least one type of "sleep of death" (TP won't wake up) has been fixed
* Wifi should no longer hang in sleep
* Vibrator no longer disappears
* Touchscreen no longer unresponsive after sleep
* cifs support added
* Touchstone should now charge better
* fixed broken links resulting from first version of installer (mount now works)
* pptp vpn now works
* OpenVPN TUN support added
* USB mounting in vold added
* Misc. fixes to ACME Installer (more graceful exits, nonstandard LVM media location handling, etc.)
* fixes to surfaceflinger to improve performance
* upstream cm7 changes added
Additionally, there is now an ACME UnInstaller for those who wish to remove the alpha completely. It should remove cm7 and reclaim the space back to the original media partition. Just as with the alpha itself, use the uninstaller at your own risk. Instructions for use are below.

The team has the usual disclaimer, "Alpha2 is an extremely rough build. Expect more crashes than you can count. Many many things do not work yet." so unless you really enjoy the pain of being a tester, this release probably isn't for you. If you're ready to go ahead with it, though, hit up the forum link HERE and get to downloading.
