Hey,
For the Wii you have the trucha apps to easily change files in your Wii iso, but how can I do the same for a Gamecube iso?
I already found gcmtool 0.1 with which I can extract the files, but to input files I need a newer version, but I can't find an .exe of that and have no idea how to compile it myself on windows ( https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.p...ckage_id=118745 ). Does somebody know how to compile it or another program that can edit gamecube iso files?
Also in the extracted files there are .dsp files which are music files you can play with a winamp plugin, but is it also possible to convert .wav or .mp3 files to .dsp files so you edit the music in the game?
Thanks,
Monkey01

Are new PAL wii's still modable?
23 August 2007 - 11:19 AM
Hey,
My brother is thinking about buying a new wii and get it modded, but are the new Wii's sold in the Netherlands still modable, or do they now have D2C chips too?
I've read here that D2C chips have arrived in the Netherlands as well, but couldn't find much of confirmation about that one, and that source posts lots of unconfirmed rumours as news as well, so I don't know how reliable it is.
So does anyone know if if you buy a Wii console now in Holland, it'll have a D2C chip? Or if it depends on which store you buy them from, which store is best to buy one for an old chip?
Thanks in advance.

G6 Skin Previewer
19 April 2007 - 11:10 PM
Hey,
I made a skin previewer for G6 DS Real skins, which may be useful for people who want to make skins for it already, but don't know how they would look and such.
It works pretty simple, just select the folder with the bmp files and press the Preview button.
The program doesn't edit anything, it's just a viewer.
Some things may show up a bit different in the real thing, as I've only used the screenshots to compare with.
It includes the VB6 source too, but it's quite a mess, so probably not too useful.
Anyways, download link:
g6skinpreviewer.zip - 0.39MB

AceKard Skinning
26 December 2006 - 06:53 PM
Hey,
Recently a new AceKard Manager, version 1.03 was released. This new version now supports skins.
Well skins... you can only change the background picture of both screens, so it's not that customisable, but it's something.
Since their own forum is pretty Chinese, I'm now making a thread about it here.
What can we skin?
Well, as said, you can only skin the background image of both screens, so no changing of the fonts, positions of texts, colors of texts/hovers or anything else...
A skin consists of 2 BMP-images with a special pallet, named "ak_sys_bg1.bmp" (top screen) and "ak_sys_bg2.bmp" (bottom screen)
In the current version the BMP's get a little fucked up, cause the outer left vertical row of pixels will appear at the outer right side of the screen and one pixel up. Also there's always one pixel in the top row somewhere on the right half of the screen, which is always lightblue somehow. I hope they'll fix it in the next versions, cause that's pretty cheap.
How to make a skin?
Just create two bitmaps with any program with the sizes of 256 x 192. Then in the new AceKard manager click ??(T)->??AK Skin click both ???? buttons and search for the files (the top button is for the top screen and the bottom one for the bottom ofcourse) then click the outer left ?? button. Now it'll convert the images with the right pallet and stuff and put it on your MicroSD card.
Any skins available to download yet?
Haven't seen any yet, but I made some myself. They're modified so that the edges appear right, but I don't think the missing pixel in the right top corner is fixable.
