In Topic: GCM file is gbc iso? just take a look at this topic!

Think this is just a case of getting a file extension confused with file contents, the two are not directly related.
The .GCM is likely a disc image and should work the same whether named .ISO or .GCM depending on what you are trying to do with it.
If you are trying to burn it to disc I believe that IMGburn will accept .GCM file extensions without needing to be renamed. Not that I can think of a good reason not to just rename the extension to .ISO.
What is the "gbc iso" you mentioned in the title? This seems to be confusing most as GBC is an abbreviation for GameBoy Colour.

The cat is out of the bag, everyone is going to have to deal with it.
If you can be banned for cheating against others using the same cheats in a friend match then I think this has a fair enough use.
I haven't used any cheats for the Wii either online or offline but people can and will.
To add a differing opinion to others I play MK online often and have never noticed anyone obviously cheating, perhaps that is because they are getting banned and now I will notice.. Time will tell.
If you are fine with playing a game you haven't purchased on the Wii then I don't think it is fair to object to this. For all those who are being cheated online with unmodded systems and original discs I can see how this would suck. Maybe time to vote with your wallet and stop buying product until the issue is addressed officially, good luck getting that from Nintendo though. They didn't invest in security and that is one of my favourite things about the Wii. Can't have it both ways I'm afraid.
Completely agree that online cheating against others not OK with it is a bad thing. What are you gonna do though?
I doubt removing this thread will have any effect on stopping this info getting into the hands of those who want it.

Just updated and the newest version (567) appears to stack dump after completing a cover image fetch... (after getting the final cover, not after every cover).
Yeah, I can verify that this happens. In my case I have 1 cover to download and have tried to download both the 3D cover and the disc label, both times stack dump.
I have a PAL Wii on 4.0E with the latest 567 (just updated and no 568 yet?) loader update.
**OK whilst typing I read some pages further back and it appears this is a known bug and is possibly fixed already in 568.
Should I be able to update to 568 yet through the loader?
And whilst I have the floor, can anyone advise me of correct settings for sports resort to run on a PAL Wii? I followed working instructions from users with NTSC Wiis but after the video played from .dol and a reboot then turn off alt .dol in settings I just get a black screen.
**update** I didn't put patch country strings on. Wii sports resort is cool.
Nice stuff GX crew.
Thanks for the work to all those involved.

Maybe I need to do it on x8? (I know it's not recommended).
I'm recommending you burn at the discs rated speed, probably 16X.I have found that I get the most reliable DVD burns in my current setup burning at 16X max. Your mileage may vary.
