Original GC imports via the disc channel?

09 January 2010 - 02:35 PM

Has this been achieved? I don't really know where to look. There doesn't appear to be much interest in doing so.

I have a US Wii and my HDTV does accept PAL (not sure if the game was PAL50 or PAL60, but a backup of Wii Chess looked fine enough).

The game I'm looking to import is Nintendo Puzzle Collection. I'm well aware it works in the backup loader for me, but I'd like to go more legit here. smile.gif

Save file sizes

31 December 2008 - 07:57 AM

You know how the recent slot 2 supercard patcher versions create 512KB save files for most games, right? Does anyone know whether trimming them to the size a specific game normally uses works fine? If so, is there an easy way to do it?

I know saves created by the older patchers still work when played. But that's not what I'm asking.

Wii #0158 F-Zero X (USA): fake?

10 December 2008 - 04:38 AM

Not sure if I'm in the right section, and my previous mention of it wasn't clear. But I'd like to ask for a big favor.

I suspect F-Zero_X_N64_VC_USA_Wii-NumbNutz, is fake. May someone please confirm?

Look at the number of blocks the NFO says it takes. Way larger than the real shop channel download.

As you can see here, 287 is the size of Sin & Punishment. A channel of F-Zero X should be 156.

This fits exactly with my testing. The F-Zero X wad I found online was playable. Yet had the operations manual, and number of blocks used, from Sin & Punishment.

Friends

This is probably a stupid question, but how do I view the users who have me in their friends list? I'm aware my own friends list has nobody in it.

Final Fantasy IV: lowering difficulty?

26 September 2008 - 08:55 AM

While I may not be a romhacker... I'm fed up enough to ask.

How feasible is it, to hack the game so it'll be easier? This is the most difficult FF4 version they've ever released. Something which, as a purist in such regards, completely infuriates me. Thanks. smile.gif
