8bitpeoples, Blip Festival Documentary
29 February 2008 - 10:47 PM
So for people not in the know, 2playerproductions created a documentary about the Blip Festival held in New York and chiptune artists in general called Reformat the Planet. It's going to premier in Austin, TX during the SXSW Film Festival, where a few of the artists will also perform. But don't plan to go unless you have $700-1000 to get in... I was really looking forward to this, since Austin's only an hour away compared to going to New York, but damn... I DON'T HAVE THAT KIND OF MONEY!
So given this is a gaming board slanted more towards all things nintendo, I'm going to assume at least a few of you out there are familiar with 8bitpeoples or other chiptune musicians. Anyone excited about this movie, or been to a chiptune show or something? Favorite artists?
http://www.vimeo.com/450090/ I just recently checked this guy out after I visited the 2pp site, and this song is absolutely a blast. Chip breakcore, perfect.

What happened to Tehskeen?
07 August 2007 - 01:37 PM
I just went to Tehskeen to find that it's, dead? What the hell happened. I did notice that a few days ago, they started fresh with saying they're only going to follow homebrew news. Now this. Would this also be an affect from the recent raids and such?
So anyone who frequents other sites like Tehskeen know whats up? Because they were (as far as I know) the home for pretty much all of the most recently updated emulators for the Gamecube, and if it's gone, I wonder where they'll go. Maxconsole? meh
Edit: nvm, didn't realize this was posted here already.

Pop'n Music 14 FEVER, OUT!
11 July 2007 - 06:01 AM
Man, I've been waiting for this for a while now. Was surprised to see it came out 2 days earlier than it was listed for. Anyone else dig the Pop'n Music around here? Or is still mostly about DDR and IIDX with some?
Backing up Gamecube Saves
10 April 2007 - 04:37 AM
So here's my problem. Back in the GC day's, I'd use ctr-gcs to back-up/restore my saves, and that required PSO+BBA (which is all i ever used. I never chipped my GC). Fast forward to today. I have a Wii and a Wiikey, and I'd like to find a new way to back-up/restore GCI saves with it. I don't have an SD card adapter or anything like that.
So I was wondering, are there any other methods of going about doing this without extra stuff? I was about to burn my Wiikey 1.2 config disc and fill it with a bunch of apps and stuff, and if maybe, theres a dol that can restore saves from a dvd or something, I'd like to include that. Probably a little far fetched, but I was just wondering.
And if I'd have to buy an SD card adapter, or something like that, will it be compatible with GCI saves?
