I just purchased an external HDD today specifically for the Wii. Using WBFS Manager, I was unable to format into WBFS. Instead, I formatted directly from the USB Loader. That worked just fine. But, my PC was still unable to read my HDD. I tried pretty much all the WBFS programs I could find, and used "Run as Admin" also. Still no go.
I tried the HDD on another PC using WBFS Manager. Surprisingly, it worked. Both computers are running Vista 32-bit. Disk Management shows the HDD as 'Unreadable', so that could be problem. I'm unable to reformat, partition, or anything of the sort on my PC using Disk Management. I'm running out of ideas.
Anyone know a possible solution?
EDIT: For anyone wondering. The HDD works just fine on the Wii. All games I've tried run perfect.

MMOs are getting more action-oriented
02 December 2008 - 11:57 AM
I'm sure for alot of people, MMOs are getting more stale. Each one as similar as the next. Age of Conan was probably a step in the right direction, but it's execution wasn't great. Korean MMOs (Cause Korea loves MMOs) are starting a new approach from what I can tell, replacing the more passive MMO gameplay with much more active gameplay. These new MMOs to all have the same philosophy in common: Better graphics, better physics, faster gameplay, larger environments, and bigger breasts. Some of these are a bit old news, but still are very impressive.
Continent of the Ninth (C9)
Blade and Soul
Kingdom Under Fire II (A RTS, but still more action oriented than any online strategy game)
And just so nobody questions it, these are all gameplay videos. Not teasers.

Wario Land Shake It Save File?
01 October 2008 - 05:44 AM
I've tried my luck with Wario Land using the Backup Loader. Out of 12 attempts, I only got to the intro level once. It froze upon completing that stage during loading. I've spent hours waiting for this intro video and pray that I can actually get to the first world.
I figured an easier solution would be to get a save file past the first stage. So if anyone has one, I'd gladly appreciate it. If you have a save file beyond the first level, thats also fine.
Thanks.
EDIT:
Apparently, I didn't search hard enough. There is already a save file posted on the boards. Lock this please.

Rockman 7 8-Bit Remake
03 September 2008 - 04:57 AM
If your itching to get your hands on Megaman 9, then this should hold you over for a little.
Japanese fanboys have recreated SNES Rockman 7 completely in 8-bit form. The graphics, music, and engine are all almost perfect rendition of the NES Rockman games. This a freeware PC game for Windows. Remember this game is in Japanese, but there is only a tiny bit of dialog anyway. It shouldn't bother anyone.

Megaman/Rockman is one of my favorite series (Obviously only the platform genre ones), its awesome to see this game in old school style. Honestly, I like this one a bit better than the original SNES. The 8-Bit graphics just have some kind of charm to them.

Sigma Harmonics Help Thread

Seems everyone enjoys this game, but have no idea what they're doing. So I decided to start this thread to get people on the right track. Keep in mind, I have absolutely no Japanese knowledge, everything here was found through trial and error. Feel free to add your own bits of tips here.
-=Battle Basics=-
If you've gotten into a battle, and find yourself just hitting air, your not understanding the battle system. In Sigma Harmonics, battles takes place in 4 directions, with enemies surrounding you.

The radar on the bottom left shows all your enemies as well as the direction your currently facing (In this case, up). Depending on what card you use to attack, will determine how Neon will rotate herself or what action she will take. Knowing what each card does is important. Here are the few cards in the beginning that you should know.
List of cards w/ pictures and action descriptions

(辰) Dragon - (正面攻撃/正面強攻撃) Front Attack / Strong Front Attack. Attack straight in front of you.
(午) Horse - (右攻撃) Attack to the right. Rotates clockwise.
(未) Sheep - (左攻撃) Attack to the left. Rotates counter-clockwise.
(卯) Rabbit - (回復) Recovery. Heals minor HP.
(寅) Tiger - (全周大攻撃/全周攻撃) Large Full Circle Attack / Full Circle Attack. Damages all surrounding enemies.
(戌) Dog - (後攻撃/後弱攻撃) Rear Attack / Weak Rear Attack. Rotates 180°.
(巳) Snake - (追攻撃/追弱攻撃/追大攻撃) Pursuit Attack / Weak Pursuit / Strong Pursuit. Priority goes to the enemy directly behind you.Sometimes, you might find two enemies near each other in the same direction. After you finish off one enemy there, you'll automatically focus on the next, as long as your still facing it.
After Stage 1, you'll get access to Battle Music and Job Change. I'm still working with those, so I'll put some info when I'm sure I know how to use them.
-=Progressing in the game=-

The game's story involves murder mysteries that you have to unravel. Though the game is fortunately very lenient when it comes to this. There are multiple ways to complete a stage, though they all involve using the Reason Board. Of course, not knowing whats going on could make this very hard. By watching the "Event Markers" (I have no idea what they're really called, just work with me people), you'll earn tokens for use on the Reason Board. These will determine your decisions when solving the mysteries.
If you've tried all the token combinations and still are stuck, then your probably missing some. In the center of the building is a clock. By 'Searching' it, you can offer up a card to change the time. For example, Stage 1 starts at 12:00. There are two events at 12, but you if change the time to 9:00, you'll find two more events. When you complete the Reason Board with these tokens, you'll come to the boss. As I said before, the game is lenient when it comes to solving these. Your choices on the reason board determine the bosses' strength. The boss could take out 100 HP per hit, or 5 HP, all depending on your choices on the board. If your having trouble on a boss, then try different combinations.
After defeating the boss, you'll earn a rank. I am not sure but I believe the rank is determined through Reason Board path and hidden Hint Tokens (Blue Sparkles on the ground, they are found in certain places, at certain times, and sometimes after certain events.).
-=Translated Walkthrough=-
chocomog257 has been generous enough to fully translate guide for Sigma Harmonics. Thanks a bunch.
Obviously, these would contain spoilers. Keep that in mind.
-Prelude-
* Flowchart
・Tutorial: Proceed the dialogue.
- Mini-battle
- Tune-search (調音査)
- Reasoning using the Sound Seals
・Chapter 1 begins
* Carved Sounds / Sound Seals [刻音] (hence referred as Seals)
[Absent for 50 years] (question mark) & [The butler.... to us] (the butler's face) - After conversation with the butler
[Words that Sigma recited] (Sigma's face) Go to the mansion entrance after talking with the butler
[The ruined mansion] (Black mansion icon) Entering the mansion
[Space distortion] (Lightning shape) After tune searching
* Reasoning [超推理]
Note: Depending on the resulting Seal of the 2nd Darkness of this chapter, the pattern of the reasoning board in Chapter 6 to get S rank will change, indicated by the following Path A and Path B:
1. The things that the butler knows and does not know
Path A: Place [The butler... to us] and [Words that Sigma recited] on the left and lower point.
Path B: Place the same seals, but one of them on the right.
Either way, a new seal [The butler is for real] appears on the board.
2. Seals that refer to the mansion: Place [The ruined mansion]
If Path A is chosen -> [Here is the Kurogami Mansion] (Blue mansion icon) appears
If Path B is chosen -> (Is it the usual mansion...?) (Red mansion icon) appears
3. What on earth happened at Kurogami Mansion?
Place the remaining two seals: [Space distortion] and [Absent for 50 years]
-> [Event at the mansion] appears
-Chapter 1- The Old Swallow's Poisoning Incident-
* Flowchart

- After searching the two Shadows of Souls, time warp is enabled.
- Go to 11:00 (It doesn't matter if 9:00 is not explored before clearing the chapter)
・11:00
- Search another two Shadows of Souls, do the Reasoning.
- Go to the designated location and defeat the Great Ouma (大逢魔)
・Chapter 1 Complete
・Note that the Job Change ability enabled from Chapter 2 onwards also affects Neon's scripts in this Chapter.
* Seals
・12:00
- [Anyone ... the poison] (Purple tube icon) Living room space
- [The girl who hates tomato] (Tomato) same as above
- [Murderer's notice?] (Red piece of paper) same as above
- [Did the maid kill herself?] (Yuriko's face) Kitchen
・11:00
- [Wine] Kitchen
- [Yoshiko in the kitchen] Kitchen (gray border)
- [Shizuma in the living room] Living room (gray border)
- [The maid prepared the meal] (Dining cart) Living room
*Shards of Truth [真実の欠片]
[1st piece] Either 11:00 nearby the cylindrical container in the lower right corner of the kitchen, or 12:00 in the Grand Clock hall, front of the piano.
There isn't any seal at 9:00 but try listening to the conversation at the platform.
[2nd piece] 9:00 Platform/Upper left (At the entrance go down near the arrow proceeding to the lower left section of the platform and search for the blue shard in the upper left part)
The grandmother did not drink wine, so what was poisoned?
[3rd piece] 12:00 Platform/Lower right section at the bottom
Think of different questions like: Is one of the people in the living room the murderer? And did that person put the poison during the meal?
[4th piece] 12:00 in the Living room /Lower left corner
If the food was not poisoned during the meal, then when did it actually happen? Hint is at 11:00.
[5th piece] 9:00 at the Garden of Purity/Balcony
It is not [because ... drank the poison], but [because ... did not...the...]
* Reasoning
1. Is the murderer one of the people in the living room? -> [Yes]
2. Two Seals contradicting the case if someone committed the crime during the meal -> [Anyone... the poison] + [Murderer's notice?]
3. Did the murderer poison the food? -> [Yes]
4. The reason why everyone else did not die although the food was poisoned. -> [Wine]
5. Who is the possible murderer? -> [Kurogami Shizuma] (father's face with brown border)
6. What are the Seals indicating that Shizuma is the murderer?
-> [Shizuma in the living room] + [Yoshiko in the kitchen] + [Did the maid kill herself?]

・15:00

- [Yoshiko’s scream] (Exclamation mark) + [Grandmother’s voice from outside the room] (single speech bubble) Evening Moon room - upper left corner, next to Room of the World
・18:00
[Only Yoshiko passed by] (Yoshiko’s face) + [The two who took a break] (Coffee cup) Living room / South
* After collecting those Seals, do over the Reasoning of Yuriko’s murder and get the correct answer.
* Shards of Truth
[1st piece] 16:00 right under the Shadow of Soul in the living room
There are times that you can get Seals by searching apart from the Soul Shadows that are also necessary for Reasoning. At 16:00 there seem to be two of them…
[2nd piece] 15:00 Living room south section, near the stairs
Nene’s intuition is a sharp insight. Reasoning will be easier if we believe rather than try doubting it.
[3rd piece] 15:00 2F corridor, middle/right section of North bridge
If you can’t see the answer, then maybe viewing everything in a “three-dimensional” way is a good idea.
[4th piece] 15:00 Room of the World, go upstairs and left
There are three Seals that we can see as unrelated but happened at the same time. At … hour, …. happened, someone …
[5th piece] 17:00 Seven Wise Men room / Left (Medicine room in the upper left corner)
Before looking for evidence to deny existence of the secret room, considering how it would be if it was a secret room is another way of thinking.
[6th piece] 15:00 Grand Clock hall, south section, go to the right
Without deciding who the culprit is, it is still fine to gather the facts and jump to a conclusion.
[7th piece] 18:00 Kitchen / Upper right corner
An incident at 16:00 is trivial, but that is possibly a Seal that reinforces the final Darkness.
[8th piece] 17:00 Garden / Between the two tree trunks
The mystery of Yuriko’s murder lies “above” where she died.
* Notice
- From this chapter onwards the Gods (神霊) and Karmas (業逢魔) will appear on the map. Either Gods or Karmas are quite powerful, so better not encounter them carelessly.
- If the [Gods’ droppings] (神霊の落し物) board in the Reasoning menu is cleared, it is possible to gain a new card.

- [Is Grandmother double personality?] 2F corridor (Northeast)
* Shards of Truth
[1st piece] 18:00 Grand Clock hall, front of piano
- If we get closer to the game room without searching, there lies an invisible light…
[2nd piece] 18:00 Garden, beside the car
- Three people’s alibi at the time of Grandmother’s death - if there are other people who died then those deaths become their alibi…
[3rd piece] 19:00 Device room (2F Southeast)
- Let’s reason from the only fact that the butler from Chapter 2 didn’t appear in Chapter 3.
[4th piece] 19:00 Platform / Left section, Lower right corner
- Whether the key has any link with the secret room or not is big divergence…
[5th piece] 18:00 2F corridor / North bridge, right side
- In a place at 18:00, there are facts able to discover depending on Neon’s status.
*Note: If entering Kitchen with a Card User/Knight then [Nene … in the elevator] and with a Shooter then [Shizuma’s left arm] is available.
[6th piece] 20:00 Garment Room / Go upstairs, front of desk
- Was Yoshiko’s death suicide or murder? It is possible to catch sight of her appearance as it is at 20:00.
[7th piece] 20:00 Platform, center / next to signal post on the right
- One of the questions concerning Shizuma’s death is, “At that time was there anyone capable of doing the murder? Or was there not?”
[8th piece] 17:00 Kitchen / Bottom right
- Things of evidence, result of reasoning, incident at 17:00, and … happened at first.
[9th piece] 17:00 2F corridor / East, lower section
- For one thing, someone also noticed, and watched Sigma and Neon as well.
* Reasoning

-> [The suspects’ alibi] appears
* The 3rd darkness automatically whitens and [Inexplicable Grandmother’s death] appears
・Page 2:
- Was the game room where Yuriko was murdered locked? Collect facts relating to the key -> [The door of the game room was locked] + [Yoshiko had the master key] *Both top or left

- (Top right) Bring together the confirmable actions by Yoshiko at time of Shizuma’s murder -> [Nene was not in her room] + [Grandmother’s death, once more…]
-> Get [Was Yoshiko on 2F…?] (Star shape with Yoshiko’s face)
- The question concerning Shizuma’s murder which rises to the surface -> [Shizuma’s death] + [Was Yoshiko on 2F…?]
- Seals that proves the systematical crime of the culprit for killing Shizuma?
-> [Suspended phone] + [Broken radio]
・Page 3: Grandmother’s murder - Motives
- 4 Seals relating to Grandmother, including her death, things of evidence and circumstance -> [Inexplicable Grandmother’s death] + [Sound inside the room] + [Medicine capsule] + [Is Grandmother double personality?]
- Seals indicating the culprit’s motive -> [Kurogami Family crest] + [Photograph found in Grandmother’s room] + [Yuriko’s medical certificate]
The Great Ouma is in Medicine (Ume’s) Room.
