Apologies if this was mentioned on the source but any word on the latency?
Accuracy is all well and good but virtual hand being 60ms behind the real world is a bit of a dealbreaker if we are going to extremes of accuracy for most of what I would care to do at least as a primary method and if I want a toy I have already got that for cheaper with a proper software ecosystem.
On the other hand if they can combine it with http://www.ted.com/t...brainwaves.html then $70 might well be toy money.

Wow I have not heard any Buckethead in years. I did really like it but as I spent the afternoon listening to Primus, Jethro Tull and songs like love cats I sense some of the impact was lost.
Breaking the rules and posting a complete video but one I think is very valuable (I also spent the afternoon writing a large part of my rom hacking docs and it was GBA and DS sound hacking day and as a result ended up brushing up on basic music theory and other such concepts leading to mastering).
Bob Katz - Loudness: War & Peace
(DAW= digital audio workstation, DSP = digital signal processing).

Thankfully the above is the case (or perhaps not as the last few years have demoed nothing of great note that did not get leaked beforehand and if I had an excuse to miss it I would have welcomed it).

That seems to be pretty much the same layout as last year give or take an half a hour or a hour in terms of times. I have managed to get in on a stream these last few years but nice to know they have some stuff for those that can not (other conferences anticipating feed problems with live feeds have had alternative methods for years now).
In Topic: Facebook down on IPO price

Yeah I see versions of that on forums and such all the time and probably the most notable of such things would be things like when digg was effectively being controlled by a group of a handful of users and some of the discussions of potential failings of bitcoin hinged on similar principles.
I do not think I know anyone directly burned by this IPO going sideways (pension funds and such are probably a different matter but they as you say will probably sell and buy back with an eye towards the long term) but I have not spoken to many of those that play in this world since it happened and between fees and projected gains not many others would have had enough liquid assets to make it worthwhile.
As for lots of money I came down on the lots of free time instead side of the equation and it looks like I will probably stay there for a while (although part of that would be the effort to increase things).

Although I am all for "updates" adding features such as this it seems a lot of the older companies are not inclined to allow such scope (see MS and Sony) and I agree smartphone games rely heavily on the free minor update publicity bump which this is probably closer in line with but eyebrow raised none the less (either Nintendo did not lock devs down or they were forward thinking in an online driven area which is pretty shocking). The only thing I will say is I hope this means it does not devolve into the minimum shippable product model that seems to have taken hold elsewhere (granted between gold, ultimate, deluxe, XL..... editions that has long been the case but some restraint is nice).
Back on topic I guess I have yet to play it (or a 3ds for that matter) but WayForward Technologies get a tip of the hat for at least trying.
