R4i 3DS custom OSmenu

30 December 2011 - 04:18 AM

I recently got this card and updated it to work with the newest 3DS firmware, however the original software on the cart is way too slow and bloated it seems. I came from AKAIO so I'm used to that :)

Is there any way I install Wood or something similar? Otherwise, is it at least possible to have something that cleans up the original?

Thanks!

Complete Xecuter Coolrunner tutorial

19 December 2011 - 08:47 PM

I just acquired the full Xecuter set to perform the RGH on a 2008 phat. I have the Nand-X (including cables to upgrade via CK3 and program the coolrunner) and the coolrunner itself (also the QSB I believe).

Is there a complete tutorial out there similar to the J-tag ones from a few months ago? I see all kinds of things ranging from programming the coolrunner, updating the Nand-X, different diagrams for soldering etc. and it's confusing as hell.

Burning Xbox 360 Backups

26 September 2011 - 06:30 PM

I haven't touched my X360 in a while now but got into it again recently. Just have a short question that searching can't help me with (probably because the answer is obvious).

Provided you have the newest iXtreme LT (1.9), can you burn backups as is or do you need to perform some wizardry to the image first? I remember it being required with AC:B last year for example or it wouldn't start at all.

Thanks!

Modding a DS phat to be a GBA

12 December 2010 - 07:14 PM

Alright GBAtemp, here is the backstory. I found my old DS phat the other day and decided to open it up and poke around in there. Was quite fun. Anyway, when it got back together I noticed the DS slot had a bend pin and couldn't read DS cartridges anymore but GBA worked fine. So I got to think if I could use it as a nice GBA along with the Micro as of course it still has the best games out of every handheld! The top is a bit bothersome and makes the thing too heavy for a dedicated GBA so I was thinking if I could remove it. After all the original DS still has the best D-pad so I could get some great mileage out of the thing.

Anyway, can it be done? If I remove the ribbon that connects the top screen (and speakers for that matter) the DS won't start up. Is there a way to trick the thing into thinking the top is still there? Even if it can be done I might have to remod the speakers somewhere or use headphones but I don't have any problems with that. I figure other Tempers might be interested in this as well since of course everyone got the DS when it first came out and few are still using it.

So anyone interested in tackling this with me?

AP25 games on "blade" dashboard?

06 December 2010 - 03:47 AM

Hey guys, quick question. Searched around the net but couldn't find an answer so far.

Can I play AP25 games without updating? I am currently on the oldest dashboard with an update from somewhere in 2008. I'm going to JTAG it soon but wanted to know if there is a way to play the game now and preserve the ability to jtag it.

Or is the only way to either update or JTAG first and then play the game?

TIA
