A friend of mine's DS Lite is useless now thanks to a broken hinge. It's too old for Nintendo's warranty to cover it, so she wants to buy a new DS.
I haven't paid much attention to the DSi and new flashcarts in the past few years, so I have 3 questions.
1. Am I correct to assume the M3 Simply doesn't work on DSi?
2. Would it work on a new DS Lite, or do those have new protection?
3. Is 1.14 the latest M3 Simply firmware? (I can only find Moonshell on official M3 website)

[HOW TO] access some borked parts of the site
09 May 2009 - 08:34 PM
I noticed that I'm not the only one having trouble access some stuff on the site (mainly wiki).
It's due to something goofy going on with the DNS. Basically, when you try to access a subdomain of gbatemp.net (such as wiki.gbatemp.net), your ISP's DNS server is reporting that there's no IP address connected to that subdomain.
However, you can assign IP addresses to those subdomains for yourself.
To do so, add these lines to your computer's hosts file:
If you don't know how to modify your hosts file, check these links:
Windows: http://vlaurie.com/computers2/Articles/hosts.htm
Ubunutu (should work for most linux): http://ubuntu-tutorials.com/2006/12/05/use...u-510-6061-610/
Mac: http://support.apple.com/kb/TA27291
But, if these IPs ever change (such as GBAtemp moving to a new server), you'll have to change them again or erase them so that your ISP's DNS server can handle it instead.
If you're only trying to connect to irc with an irc client, such as mIRC, you don't have to mess with the hosts file and connect using the ip instead (87.98.181.66).
This doesn't work for the website subdomains though because 91.121.42.111 goes to gbatemp.net by default.

Tempcast 0 disappeared?

I saw the news post about Tempcast 0 and decided I would download it later, but now it's gone. What happened to it?
New Games for Friend Code DB
08 April 2008 - 10:15 AM
Mario Kart Wii obviously needs to be added.
I think there was some game called Dairy Girl or something that there was a topic about for FCs.
Also, I recall people requesting a 2nd entry for the SSBB nick names (5 char limit, not numbers-only).
And the update I gave Costello a month ago still hasn't been applied.
If anyone knows of any other games missing from the DB, post them here.

GTFO of my blog Urza
17 March 2008 - 03:26 AM
When ever I view my blog, or anyone else's, I see 5 of Urza's homebrew posts, one from FAST, and a couple of NDS release posts. Then my blog posts are all the way at the bottom.
According to people on IRC, I'm the only one seeing this.
Already tried using a different skin, logging out, clearing cookies, etc.
It only shows up when I'm logged in.
