I was given a mid 2000 era flat panel pc monitor. It only has a VGA input and I was tempted to get a VGA gamer box to play some retro consoles on it but the ones I keep finding only works with the PS3/360 component plugs or the hdmi cable. Is the quality even worth playing old games on a PC monitor? Only reason I'm asking is that my HDTV displays PS/N64 games really badly so I'm looking into this alternative.

I'm researching my next laptop and I'm interested in Medion. There's a lot of configurations but one of them has a GTX560 graphics card but only has a 1366 x 768 HD display. The other has a GT555 graphics card but the display is full matt HD 1920x1080 resolution. I'm leaning towards sacrificing the resolution for the GTX560 card but is there any argument for a laptop with full HD resolution?

I decided that emulators on touchscreens aren't the best way to play emulated games like the snes unless they're rpgs. Is an xperia play with the emulators a good purchase or should I get something more dedicated like a dingoo?

For years now I've been using torrents. This is great for some releases which have high seeders but I'm starting to get tired of being speed throttled during the daytime. I'm now starting to see the appeal of newsgroups but the problem is that some of the guides on google are fairly outdated and just confuses me so any good recent guides?

Another question I have is that when I go to some NZB search sites, some of the things I want to download after a long time from a couple of months ago require a premium usenet provider such as giganews. So in theory, does this mean any recent releases can still be downloaded for free with the right software or is this absolutely wrong?

At the moment, my 4 year old core2duo Dell laptop is starting to show a little strain when I'm doing multitasking stuff so I figured now's a good time to buy a new laptop. More specifically, one with a core i5 processor but my question is this. Is there any news on any new processors coming out this year?
