you can do this using trucha signer. I reccomend searching the forums/Google for a guide on replacing files. then you take the sound file from the japanese ISO and place it into the english ISO. I have done this myself and I love it, Im sure there are also prepackaged modified ISOs if you look around.

Hi all!

Thanx for the greate guide!! bow.gif

I allready installed the softmod a while a go through A LOT of steps, so this guide is very, very welcome.

I'm going to run this guide on a the WII from a friend who doesn't have HBC of anything else. The only thing is: he has VERSION 3.1E

The guide is based on 3.4 and newer? Will this be a problem? Or am I being a noob?? tongue.gif

Thanx guys for helping out!!

For safety reasons this guides first steps are to install 3.2 so you shouldnt have any problems on most firmware versions.
If you do have any problems, install the HBC and then CIOS and then use the official nintendo update. then start the guide.

Also if you do update to have it use rev14, you should say to run the cIOS rev14 installer and have it use IOS36 because it prompts for what IOS to use and that's the whole point of using the Trucha Bug Restorer to restore the trucha bug to IOS36.

And regarding the doing step 12 before step 11, the 4.1 updater gives you an error if you do not have IOS60 installed on your system as I believe it is really meant to be an updater to 4.1 from 4.0. So if you are updating from 4.0 you can do it fine otherwise you would need to install IOS60 first (which is why doing step 12 first works). What you could also do is have them run the 4.0 updater first and then the 4.1 updater then still run dop IOS on IOS60 afterwards. Doing dop-IOS first and then running the updater should also work as well though.

And as a last note, I do suggest that you remove the IOS and cIOS downgrader steps. They really aren't necessary and are actually the only things holding this guide back from working on any Wii right now.

I think leaving it at 10 and letting people update themselves if they choose is fine. Ive had problems installing higher than rev10 on virgin Wiis before.

If you run Dop-IOS and then 4.1 Updater will it overwrite the patched IOS60 that you just installed?

IOS-Downgrader is to remove the trucha bug, a lot of these steps are overly cautious so that no one will have problems. I havent seen anyone reply here saying IOS-Downgrader didnt work.

GREAT GUIDE assassda! This has worked on every Wii I've tried it on so far (4+ now).

However I have some important updates you could implement.

Thanks for all your great work, hopefully you can make some use of these updates.

Thank you, I will update the guide tomorow
