Bit of a technical question this but worth a shot...
I've finished Patater's tutorial and realised I know enough to build something simple, like a small game of pong. But I've got myself a bit stuck trying to figure out how to get the ball to move across both screens.
libnds uses a separate space in memory for sprites for each screen. So one solution would be to create the sprite twice, once in each memory bank, and toggle the visibility depending on which screen the sprite is on. But this strikes me as somewhat inefficient, with a single sprite taking up double the amount of memory it would theoretically need.
Is this the correct way to do it, or is there a better solution than creating everything twice? I know I could just build it that way and forget about it but part of me just won't let the feeling that I'm missing something go...

Castlevania POR Quest Help
31 August 2008 - 04:37 PM
Okay I've turned google upside-down over this one and I can't find anything about it. I'm doing the quests towards the end of the game
I've completed the quest, according to FAQs/walkthroughs there's nothing else I need to do, but for some daft reason the game still thinks I haven't finished it. I think the last spell I got was from another quest, if that makes a difference.
In other words, am I missing something, is this a known bug in the game, or is my game just fucked?
It's a legit cart, without any cheats or save hacking (where's the fun in that?).
It's not important really, I nearly didn't bother making a topic but I'm curious now.
Warning! Spoiler inside.

Exactly what it says on the tin; the archive does not go.
Known issue, or has no-one been down in the dusty cobwebs for a while to notice?
Homebrew News - Competition entries
29 July 2007 - 10:56 PM
Hm, anyone else think that grouping entries for homebrew competitions in a single news entry would be a good idea?
Don't get me wrong I think they're worth the coverage, but because they're mostly unknown applications you have to click on every single one individually just to find out what it is, and could easily miss something good in the instant flood of posts. It also fills the list in the news items box on the frontpage up, pushing other applications off the bottom of the list (including other entries) before you even notice they're there. (Mine's set to 10 entries but I don't remember what the default is). Finally it would draw more attention back to the competition itself, rather than just the end products.
Thoughts?
