I softmodded a virgin wii with firmw. 3.3.
I like to update it to a higher version.

What version is the best to use after 3.3?

is using Waninkoko's Firmware Updater 4.0 / 4.1 a nice way of doing that?

strange thing is that on this wii (3.3e) I did't manage to install bootmii as boot2...only as IOS

Will a update to a new firmware fix that?

or is update via official way to firmware 4.2 the best sollution?

Hi,

I have a lot of files on my SD. What files are needed to stay for using:

Bootmii
HBC
config usb loader

I won't delete any dir's

in my root are:

hackmii.ini
installer.log
keys.bin
nand.bin

can I delete the files in my root after making a backup, but can still use Bootmii,HBC,config usb loader?

Would be nice if some one could make a gui that only display's the animated icons inside the opening.bnr instead of installing them as an channel. So a gui / loader that will list your games on usb and display all animated "icons" in a gui thing. After clicking on a icon it will launch the game.

is there allready a loader or tool that can do this?

- I downloaded the hackmii files and unpacked them.
- I allready have Homebrew running.

What files do I need to copy to the root of my SD cart?

can I only copy the boot.elf to the root of my original SD (with lots of apps)?
using a new SD would be best?
