Hey everybody so i have spent the past week or so doing research on how i can play my wii on my new LCD monitor, its a good size 24 inches and built speakers (the reason for this is i am going to be living in residence and theres a no TV policy) but my problem is that so many of the cables seemed so expensive and i would need to buy a converter box but this all seemed so unnecessary.
So i stumbled across a site based out of Hong Kong called Neoya.com and i found that they were sold out of there cord and they had a link to a small dongle called "Wii2HDMI" So i got to reading information on this product as well as the reviews and as i assumed, there is no way that this dongle can possibly turn wii into 1080p and this is clearly stated on the website so there honest and there are no false claims.
What it can do is let me run my wii into my LCD monitor with one simple HDMI cable which is perfect and easy to do
It has been reviewed by Cnet and many other places and it seems great. All those Vga to wii cables only display in 480p so you cannot play VC games and such but with this it outputs 480i, 480p as well as 576i for those rare wiis.
Heres the link
http://www.neoya.com/shop/wii2hdmi.html
And i am currently just waiting for it to arrive. I will let everyone know how it goes.

Hacking Virgin Wii BootMii Issues
01 July 2010 - 07:41 AM
Hello there i have a quick question in regards to hacking a virgin wii.
So first things first i have hacked several wii's probably surplus of 10. I have used the same SD card and various methods for all of them and i have some pretty good but i guess outdated knowledge of hacking since i stopped messing with the wii for about a year now. I recently decided it was time to get current and updated my current wii to 4.2 and did all the rehacking and all that. Everything was dandy.
Now the topic at hand
I am hacking a wii for a person
(BTW it is a 3.3U virgin Wii and its a few years old)
and i have done all the reading necessary and followed the guide, downloaded all the materials that are in the sticky. However i am having a small problem at the startup, I have successfully started done bannerbomb and loaded the hackmii installer, i have installed HBC and BootMii as boot 2 and it says all is successful and everything is dandy
HOWEVER
as long as an SD card is inserted in the Wii it will just boot to a black screen and i cant do anything the remote wont respond or anything.
Now i know it is installed because there is the flashing of lights after the initial blue led when the wii turns on so that is checked. I have gone on the computer and edited the bootmii.ini file and tried to change some things in there but thats not working either so if anyone knows what my problem could be help would be appreciated Thanks.

However if you would like to avoid doing this to every wad you could always install the up to date and necessary IOS's for the WiiWare including but not limited to IOS 38,53 and 55.

Hello i have just finished downloading a game called Quest 64 this was a rom that was injected into a virtual console game (Sin and punishment i think) When i load up the game it says it wont be able to save as no controller pack is inserted.
My question is well is there any way to emulate the n64 controller pak (memory card) in a vc game?
