So my PS3 hasn't been used in about a year now, but I kept it jailbroken.
I now want to start using it again (with online connectivity) so I need to go back to OFW. However, I have some custom certificates, and other stuff I shouldn't have.
Is there a restore functioni I can use that will preserve my user data? Such as logins, gamesaves, etc. I know I could COMPLETELY format it and have everything properly restored, but there are things I want to keep (some save files cannot be backed up).
Or am I going to have to find the original certs (from somewhere online) and put those on, then update to the latest FW?
And before I do go Official again, are there any reasons I should stay on CFW or hold back from updating? I know I wont be able to jailbreak again if I update, but honestly, it's not being used at all in its current state.
Thanks tempers.
Edit: Currently on version 3.60 (some FW release from rebug, a bit dodgy).

A mysterious 24-hour countdown is now ticking away at the new Baldur's Gate website.
I can't wait.

Nobody was quite sure what to make of it when a strange new Baldur's Gate website popped up back at the end of February. There was nothing to it but the famous Baldur's Gate skull, theme song and some words from the wise Alaundo about how the Lord of Murder shall perish and yadda yadda. But hidden in the page's source code were some rather more interesting messages.
I can't wait.

Just built my first gaming rig
14 October 2011 - 01:33 AM
So I just built a real gaming pc
It was my first ever build (been using laptops til now) so it was a little daunting, but it works!
Anyway, I'm now needing some advice on purchasing a monitor, keyboard, mouse and headset. Currently I'm using my television as a monitor, an old keyboard, the mouse from my laptop (it's nice, but needs to go back with that) and I was using my TurtleBeach headset...
Until it broke today!
I spend most of my time on this computer gaming and talking on Skype, so being without a headset really sucks. So although a decent keyboard/mouse may be more important, I really need a headset.
I'm interested in the Razer Megalodons and the Sennheiser PC 360 , however they have a hefty price tag. Does anyone have any personal recommendations for a gaming/skype headset? I'm looking for comfort and sound quality, preferably under £100... Although I can stretch to something like £120, if they're really nice. Something with a good strong wire would be a bonus, as that's the main fault of my broken P21's.
As for everything else I'll need to save up a bit more cash, but I'm looking for a mechanical keyboard and a comfortable gaming mouse (for medium/small adult hands) at under £100 each. Again, I've seen a few things (BlackWidow Ultimate, SteelSeries 7G, R.A.T 9) but cannot come to a decision. As for monitors I really have no idea, something around £150 that's 1920x1080 from a reliable brand?
Thanks GBAtemp!
I'm gonna have no money for BF3/Skyrim...

Wii not playing legit games
17 January 2011 - 05:41 PM
Okay I've not used my Wii for ages, and my dad recently bought us a game to play. However on my Wii which is playing a legit Wii Sports Resort will not play a legit Donkey Kong Country Returns. I'm guessing that's because I'm on 4.1E (what happens is the normal screen where you start the game loads, but when you start the game the controllers disconnect and the Wii just freezes at a black screen).
My Wii is homebrewed, but I'm not sure if I ever did all the ISOs (or whatever they are) properly, legit games seem to work, but I've never pirated on the Wii so...
I'm guessing I have to update? I want to keep Homebrew though
Edit: After some more sifting I see that this games requires 4.3, but I don't have Indian Jones. Is this the end of homebrew and future backups for me?
