HBC is easier in my opinion as you can have multiple emulators on your SD card at the same time.

You can do this easily with LoadMii or some other .dol loader. Launch that from bannerbomb.

Good show, save for the part where you didn't say what it is, or what modifications you made, or give any informational links or credits...or any real information whatsoever, for that matter.

I researched as much as I could to find out if CIOS60BF.WAD was instalable on Wii LU64+ to enable backups through disc channel.

Currently not possible, but the SoftMii team swears they're right on the edge of getting it to work. Beats me why anybody cares, but that's a different issue.

On a related note, Softcorp from the SoftMii 3.0 package can patch the ES_ functions in IOS36 to enable preloader install on LU64, if you hadn't caught that news blurb yet. (Softcorp is just a modified IOS downgrader...I did something more like what you describe than following their wacky guide and only used that one app from their package to get preloader working) So you can pretty much condense everything down to a few steps. Something like: hackmii -> cboot2 to install cIOSr11 (aka LU64fix.wad) -> cIOSr3 installer -> softcorp (for ios36) -> preloader -> done, run a loader

If you include cIOSr13 and a pre-patched IOS36 as wads you could get it down to just hackmii -> cboot2 -> preloader

Apparently softcorp in the new softmii allows for Preloader to be installed.

Kudos to them if so, but they could have helped out the scene way more by just releasing a preloader fix and/or info rather than another bundle with a rambling guide.

edit: confirmed, I used softcorp to patch IOS36 which allowed preloader to install on my LU644+ (those are the only files I modified and the only thing I used from the softmii bundle) All seems working.

Update the first post and request a thread lock for great justice?

Unless you plan on further developing your own branch, of course.
