Why no random banner messages?

29 August 2010 - 11:32 AM

Pointless topic I know but liek a few weeks ago for only a week or 2 there were random banner messages every day and now they don't seem to change anymore. Why were they added and then removed? I liked the random messages. frown.gif

TempAR

24 July 2010 - 06:58 AM

Introduction

The reason for this NitePR/MKULTRA mod is because I wanted a way to test PSPAR codes on CFW, for me it was easier just to implement the PSPAR code types into an existing cheat device rather then try and patch the PSPAR EBOOT to run on CFW so that is exactly what I have done.

Unlike the official PSPAR cheat device a more simple code file format is utilized for loading codes, the format is much like the CWCheat cheat database format but instead of code lines being preceeded with "_L " they are preceeded with "_M ".

I also got bored and decided to implement the CWCheat code types so hopefully most CWCheat codes should work with this cheat device.

Usage

Installation Instructions
  1. Copy the seplugins folder to your Memory Stick (if not copying over game.txt and pops.txt be sure to manually add those lines to the files on the MS).

In-Game Controls
  1. Show cheat menu: Press home twice followed by VOLUP+VOLDOWN).
  2. Enable Cheat Engine: Press Note.
  3. Screenshot: Press SELECT+VOLDOWN.

What will be in the next version?

Important: Please report any problems or non-working codes so I can look at them and try and figure out why they aren't working (please test the codes on another cheat device first however to ensure it is not the code that is actually broken). Also keep in mind that patches like the m33_620, Prometheus CFW and patched games cause shit with memory shifting around so that could also be the problem.

Good 2TB External HD?

23 May 2010 - 11:30 AM

My 500GB external HD and 400GB internal HD are full. frown.gif

So I need to buy a new hard drive so I can basically empty those other 2 hard drives.

I would like to hear some personal opinions of a good 2TB external hard drive for me (from people who actually own them). I don't want to purchase some POS which breaks down straight away and causes me to lose all my data.

My current 500GB external HD is pretty much like this and constantly disconnects from the computer causing in corruption of files and the like, it is USB powered and every computer I have found doesn't provide enough power to keep it alive and with some computers it even causes BSODs. angry.gif

My budget is around ~$250AUD frown.gif and I would prefer to purchase from an actual store.

Currently I am considering the following:

Do any of those possible purchases look like bad choices? At the moment I'm swaying towards the last item in the list because it looks like it would be more reliable then the other 2 but if anyone else can recommend me an alternative 2TB external HD around the same price that they have been using for a while that would be great.

Supercard DSTWO: GBA Emulator Details

15 May 2010 - 03:13 PM

Emulator Details and Functionality

The iPlayer GBA emulator was ported by DarkChen (possibly the Supercard team) from gPSP, a PSP GBA emulator coded by eXophase. The emulator was the first non-Slot2 option for running GBA games on the NDS console and made use of the extra hardware in the iPlayer cartridge. The port contains much of the same functionality as the original PSP version including:
  • Fast Forward
  • Frame Skip
  • Save States
  • GameShark/Pro Action Replay Cheat Engine (basic)
  • Screenshot Function
  • Key Remapping
Emulator Compatibility List

I have briefly test ROMs 0001-400 with as well as a few other random games with version 1.13 of the SCDS2 GBA emulator. Results can be viewed here and will be updated when I have time to test others. All ROMs were tested with the default emulator settings and sound off style_emoticons/default/frown.gif.

How many real UMDs do you own?

29 January 2010 - 02:08 AM

Like the DS poll but for the PSP...

Although I said real UMDs, I would count legitimate DLC games as real UMDs because you are still showing support for the gaming industry (and obviously PSP Go! can't use UMDs).

Warning! Spoiler inside.

So what do other members of GBAtemp own and can anyone beat my list?
