Classic Controller Pro and HBC

21 April 2010 - 08:53 AM

I can't get my Classic Controller Pro (the sweet black one) to work in the Homebrew Channel or any emulators.
Regular Classic Controller works just fine.
Is this a known issue?

Softmodded Xbox all backups show Dirty Disc Error

12 December 2009 - 11:40 AM

Hey guys,

Got myself a softmodded original Xbox:
Dash: XBMC 2.0.1
HDD: Factory
DVD: Phillips J5 3235C FW: S32M

Homebrew games on DVD-R play just great. I found a port of PC version of Panzer Dragoon. Works 100%.

Messed up thing is backups won't play. I've tried several different games. The Box reads the default.xbe and recognizes the game but I get the Dirty Disc Error every time I try to load them.

I always use DVD-R. DVD+R spin endlessly for some reason.
Burn at 2X
DAO

Tried using Qwix to rebuild the images and then burn them, get the DDE.
Tried just making a data DVD with the same structure as the .iso, same shit.

Don't have a big enough HDD to ftp files or rip games.
Don't want to do the pot tweak because it's not my Xbox

What's going on here? Should I just try with a different Xbox?

Best way to rip PSX discs

07 August 2009 - 07:49 AM

Hey guys,
With WiiSX on the way but sadly unable to play my original PS games like my PC does... I'm gearing up for a digital migration. Just need to know how to get things started.

This should be an easy one for ya...
What's the best way to rip my PSX games to bin/cue or any other format that WiiSX understands?

I've got:
Nero 6.0.0.0 full
Padus DiscJuggler 6.00.1400 trial
...And open to suggestions

Thanks

ipod as a USB drive...

01 July 2009 - 08:09 AM

I've got an 80GB classic ipod with about 60GB free. I doubt I'll ever use the whole 80 so...
Could an ipod be rigged as a USB drive for Mplayer/USB Loader?

Just goofing around with it, I tried connecting it to Mplayer and the ipod froze up. Had to let the battery die before I could regain use of the ipod. On the plus side, none of the data was lost. Mplayer didn't recognize it anyway. I hadn't upgrade the Wii's USB to 2.0 when I tried it, also didn't check the "use as hard drive" option for the ipod in itunes. Prolly have to reformat the ipod to FAT and partition it before this will even begin to work. Some extra code may be necessary since Apple doesn't like anything but itunes communicating with their hardware.

Wondering if anybody else thought of this, or if it is a worthwhile experiment. Pretty sure that lots of folks have an ipod even if they don't have a USB mass storage device.

Thoughts?
