@erik

Nope not that I'm aware of.

Run a syscheck and post the results.

Not sure on why priiloader is giving that error. Is it a custom system menu that you have installed? In regards to the hard drive issue, I noticed it happens with other wall powered drives when they spin down.

Sorry man but finaly I found someone with NewWiimote (orignal Nintendo).
All old homebrew don't work.
All new recompiled homebrew works fine.
But your compiled version of priiloader MOD (r142), one time start the installer form HBC, don't supported the new wiimote.

I can't say if, one time installed, the new wiimote work in priiloader menù.

Ooh, I recompiled the installer, but not the actual priiloader app (doh). I'll fix it in the next couple of days. Off to work for now.

I was after some assistance. I am attempting some official speedruns on Virtual Console games so what I have done so far is...

1. Got a 4.1 Wii and removed all softmods.
2. Used this guide and updated to 4.2. Everything installed fine.
3. Installed priiloader and enabled region free channels.

I am under the impression that using an emulated nand is to not wear out the real Wii nand but is this only if the Wii is running the games from SD all the time? What if you install directly to the nand with a wad manager and load the games from a channel each time? This should not wear out the nand surely since this is what a "real" consumer would be doing from the Wii Shop channel etc?

With my Wii in this condition is it fine to install some VC games and run from nand?

Correct. When you launch games from the sd card, it temporarily copies it to the nand each time you run it. When you install it to the nand, and run it from the nand, it isn't writing to the nand everytime.

The only difference is the r26 is compiled with r26 of devkitppc which should make it compatible with the new wiimotes.

Ok, thanks very much.
I just asked to be sure.

For confirm: me and other user try it and it works great. ;)
