Grandia (PSX on PSP)

21 May 2011 - 03:29 PM

Hey there fellow tempers and Grandia lovers!BOOT for my PSP, now I've done this with many other PSX games before some had problems most haven't.
With Grandia I have one extremely irritating problem.

Wherever there is a voice over or speech by a character it bugs the hell out. Now I know this isn't a problem with the iso as I tested it on my PC I also burnt a copy of it and tested that on my old Playstation and it works fine, so it's something to do with the PSP, Popsloader or the EBOOT itself.
I've been using Pops 3.72 for Grandia (a quick google says the game works fine with this one).

So...what the hell am I missing? :3

I've re-made the EBOOT several times with different levels of compression and no compression at all. Sometimes the EBOOTs work (with sound issues still) and others not at all (crashing on cutscenes, or simply not loading). I've been using PSX2PSP v1.42 (it could be an issue with my OS before I was running Windows 7 32-bit now I'm running Windows 7 64-bit).

I also might add I'm running 5.00 m33-6 + prometheus plugin.

Thanks in advance tempers.

Monster Hunter 3rd problem.

22 April 2011 - 10:31 PM

Hey Tempers!

I've been trying to play an english patched Monster Hunter 3rd (tried this as a clean ISO aswell) but everytime I load the game at the opening cutscene (after you create a character) the game black-screens and my PSP switches itself off.

I'm on 5.00m33-6 prometheus 4 (I think, the prometheus install file says v3?). I've tried everything I can think of to get this working and not a single thing has helped me so far, I'd really rather not switch firmwares so if anyone that is running 5.00 m33- 6 has got Monster Hunter 3rd working can you please tell me how you did it?

I'm also sure it isn't the ISO I'm using as I've tried 3 different ISOs and the same thing happens each time.

Thanks in advance Tempers!

Most Current and updated Emulator

28 February 2011 - 12:46 PM

There's a few games that I'd like to try out that have been relleased fairly recently , but I don't have my DS anymore (sold it)

For that reason I'd like to try them out on an emulator, so I'm just wondering what is the most current and up to date emulator available that can run the latest games? I currently have NO$GBA 2.6a but going back to the website, it looks like that is the most recent one (and I've had this for AGES) but the games I'm trying to play keep on crashing before starting.

So what's the best emulator out there?

Building a new computer

09 February 2011 - 12:55 AM

Hey Tempers!

Advice time!

I'm going to be building a "new" computer, from start to finish, I've picked out pretty much everything (I think) but I need your advice on whether it is all compatible.

So here's the list of everything:-

Case - NZXT Phantom Black.
Motherboard - ASUS P7P55D-E PRO iP55 Socket 1156 8 Channel Audio USB3 ATX Motherboard.
CPU - Intel Core i5 760 2.8GHz (Lynnfield) (Socket LGA1156) Processor.
GPU - MSI GeForce GTX 470 Twin Frozr II 1280MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card.
PSU - OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W PSU - 80+ & SLI Certified - ATX12V 2.2/ EPS12V -135mm Fan.
Memory - OCZ 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 1866MHz Platinum Memory Kit 1.65V CL9(9-9-9-27).
HDD - Samsung HD103SJ Spinpoint F3 1TB Hard Drive SATAII 7200rpm 32MB Cache.
DVD-RW - Samsung SH-S223 22x DVD±RW DL & RAM SATA Optical Drive.
Sound Card - Asus Xonar DG 5.1 Surround Sound Card.
Thermal Paste - Arctic Silver 5 High-Density Polysynthetic Silver Thermal Compound Thermal paste 3.5gram.

Okay well that's the list that I've got so far but perhaps you can help me even further?

Cooling Fan - Require Advice on what could/would fit and be good.
Network Card - Yeah, need advice I have no idea.

Well I'm not sure if that is everything I'll need (tools are not a problem), so if anything is missing please DO tell me (suggestions would also be nice).

Any advice you can give is welcome (maybe even find the parts I want cheaper? tongue.gif), I've done a fair bit of research but I'm not 100% sure as this will be my first build.

Thanks in advance you knowledgable tempers you!

Full HD 24" Monitor

25 December 2010 - 03:19 PM

Hey Tempers!

So it's christmas I have some money and I'm looking to invest in a full HD 24" monitor for around £200 (under preferably). The main use of this monitor you ask? Why Gaming of course!!!

Now I've been shopping around for a month and I'm still, to put it simply clueless as to what I'm looking for.

So far I've been really edging towards the Samsung SyncMaster P2450H (you can find the specs in the first review).
I've read many many reviews on this monitor and others. For this one some say it's amazing and a few say it has some "colour" problems.

So now I come to you guys and gals, can anyone help me find the best monitor for my price range?
