So before you think that this is an advertisement, let me assure you that it is not.

I have been at gbatemp for a long time. (Mostly lurking) but every now and then I post stuff. Gbatemp is one of my favorite forums and it is the reason that I decided to start my own forum.

I love this community, and the idea of having a community, which is why I decided to create my own.

So that's where you tempers come in. This is my small request:

So recently I jailbroke my friends ipod. The ipod was on 2.2.1 and me not doing enough research, decided to not update it and use old haxx to install cydia. So now I am stuck with a jailbroken 2.2.1 touch. The problem is that if your firmware is below 3.xx(something around that number), it won't let you install [Redacted]. So how do I fix this? I've downloaded different firmwares and tried installing them through itunes, but it just doesn't work. I heard it had something to do with Apple not signing old firmwares anymore...

So tempers, what do I do?

Also, is there a way to install a firmware such as 3.2 without using itunes?
