Who else won one? :D

Before anyone asks, I only chose the pink one as I thought there'd be less people who chose it.

EDIT: Also, just noticed this is my 1000th post. My day keeps getting better. :D

GBA Ambassador games are out for Australians!

15 December 2011 - 06:17 AM

Someone already posted this in another thread but I guess it's worth making a whole new thread for it.

I woke up this morning (a little late), saw the blue light, read the SpotPass message and jumped to the eShop. I found that the games could be downloaded despite the fact that the SpotPass message said the 16th.

If you want proof, click here.

Some posters are reporting that they cannot download the games by changing their region to Australia.

EDIT: Great, I made a typo in the title. Can someone correct it for me? >.>;
Thanks for the correction.

Dead Or Alive: Dimensions Has Been Reclassified

22 June 2011 - 11:19 AM

QUOTE
Dead or Alive: Dimensions, which was pulled from sale in Australia just over a week ago, has now been reclassified.

The game has now been classified with an M rating.

Dead or Alive: Dimensions was initially sent in for classification by THQ, before distribution duties were taken over by Nintendo themselves. After the media uproar concerning the game’s initial classification, the game was pulled from sale and sent back in for reclassification.

Initial reports from vendors stated that Nintendo was seeking an MA15+ rating, a claim which Nintendo later denied, but representatives from Nintendo were apparently happy to send the game back in for reclassification, and quick to distance themselves from the mistakes made by the initial distributor THQ.

The new classification is M, with added consumer advice stating that the game features “violence and sexualised gameplay”.

As of now, retailers are yet to have been notified, with EB still under strict orders not to sell the game. Hopefully that situation will change over the coming days.

I know there are already threads for the other regions but Australia is getting this later than every other region so I think it's worth posting this separately. I'm glad Nintendo of Australia are offering promos for us. I only just preordered the game today. smile.gif

Hesitant to Transfer DSiWare

10 June 2011 - 07:59 AM

Since I heard about the ability to transfer DSiWare, I've felt a little uncomfortable. It would be nice to transfer it all and have it accessible on my 3DS but there are a few reasons holding me back.

  1. The issue of the screen resolution difference
  2. The fact that it practically means I'm declaring my DSi as obsolete

Yes, that's two reasons only but I feel pretty strongly about the second one.

For those of you who have already done the transfer, what made you go ahead with it?
