Sorry if this has been discussed or there's another thread hanging around that I couldn't find using the search feature. Also, sorry if any of the team involved didn't want me to start this thread in the first place. I know how some of us GBATempers can be oh so meddling.

Im on system menu 4.1 with Preloader 0.29 installed. Ever since I installed BootMii 0.3 (Installed as boot2 and as IOS), a lot of times when I power up my Wii, I get a black screen. I have to power off my Wii manually and try to turn it on again and sometimes it will turn on or I will get the black screen again. Usually if I do get the black screen error, the most it will happen is 4 times in a row.

Is there anything possibly in my Preloader settings that can be causing this to happen or is it a BootMii bug? Again, this never happened to me before I installed BootMii.

I am not sure if this is an issue with Preloader or something else but, most of the time, when I start up my System Menu, the music starts, then cuts off, then starts again somewhere around the middle of the usual Wii sound. Also, when I start up WADs, sometimes the music cuts off completely as well. They usually play again when I click on them again.

This may be a pointless thread, but anyone know the possibility on why this may happen?

I checked a few threads with this problem, but I have been unable to get it to work. I upgraded a friends Wii that was to 4.0 updated before using Nintendo's update servers. I was able to use IOS36 patcher and WiiSCU to update a few of the IOSs. Preloader 0.29 installed fine, but the hacks.ini is not working on the root of the SD.

I tried using a regular SD and an SDHC card, I tried renaming the hacks.ini file to hacks and I tried a few different hacks.ini files I found around here, but I still get the error message that "blah blah hacks.ini not found on FAT or NAND".

Any suggestions?

I'm on menu 3.2u and I updated a few things using WiiSCU (IOS 51 & 61, News Channel, Weather Channel, Mii Channel, Photo Channel & Shop Channel). I had 0.28 Preloader when I noticed I could not get my options anymore using the RESET button. I cleared out my hacks using Hack Remover and installed 0.29. The Preloader showed up, I set my options and everything seemed fine, but when I tried going into options using the RESET button, all i get is a black screen. I tried removing the hacks again with Hack Remover and reinstalling 0.29, but I still get no Preloader options screen to show up.

The last thing I remember updating was installing usb2_beta3 and Gecko OS 1.8. Anyone know how I can fix this?
