Camcorder with camera or Camera with Video?

17 June 2010 - 12:18 AM

Ok. So for graduation (yay.gif grog.gif toot.gif) my cousin's gonna get me either a camera or a camcorder.
I was hoping fellow tempers could tell me which would be better.

I'm one of those people who like having all-in-one devices.
Digital cameras have superb photo quality + video recording capabilities.
Digital camcorders have HD video recording qualities + decent picture taking quality.

So which would be the better option to invest in?
I was looking at the Sony Webbie HD, iFlip HD, Samsung Dual View, and Nikons/Cybershots.

All help is appreciated and thanks everyone in advance.

Introducing a new set of shovelware!

24 February 2009 - 02:03 PM

As we all may know, no video game generation has been left unscarred by shovelware. The DS and Wii being the prime victims.
We've seen the "Imagine (insert any word here)" series, the rip-offs (games copying off better games), and those damn Disney games.
But in recent events the "(insert verb here) IT" series is on the rise.
Gaming companies must think that titles that are assertive such as "SING IT" will force the gamers to buy and SING...
The titles are forceful, and they piss me off...

Sorry....just me ranting about shovelware...I cant take it anymore.

DVD Movie Burning

15 January 2009 - 09:39 PM

I have a few DVD rip files on my computer that I'm trying to burn onto a DVD-R disc.
I have a few questions, and need a little help because I have no idea how to.

DVD rips:

File A
size: 700 MB
format: .avi

File B
size: 740 MB
format: .mkv

File C
size: 730 MB
format: .avi

I use Sony 4.7 gb DVD-Rs
I use Nero to burn all my DVD rips...that i already own...legally...like everyone else here rolleyes.gif

When I tried to burn File A and C, but Nero said it wudn't fit....wtf?
but i burned it again, but this time using, Windows DVD creator (i think thats what it's called) and it burned flawlessly. But wen i put the DVD into my dvd player and the video showed up, but the audio was missing...
Is this a computer problem? a file type problem?

File A plays in Windows media player with audio on one of my computers, but on the computer with a DVD burner, it had an audio playback error.

As for File B, it is .mkv format, and i dont know how to burn those.

I'm not sure what i should do. Whether it is codec supports missing, a bad burning software, or what?
HELP PLEASE!! wacko.gif unsure.gif
