I never had an N64 before, I was more of a PS1/Dreamcast guy so for whatever reason never got an N64 though I've played pretty much all of the best games and like them a lot.
Well now I'm trying to build my N64 collection but some of the games I managed to find here are US NTSC copies, like Mario 64 I can get for only 3 bucks however it's a US version.
So, what exactly do I need to play NTSC games on a PAL N64, I need something that's 100% compatible and how hard would this device be to find nowadays? I take it an action replay or a converter of some sort would do, I had a converter for the SNES back when I was a kid and that played everything.
But I have no idea where to buy this stuff and I can't use Paypal from my country so ebay isn't an option for me

What do I need to play NTSC N64 games on a PAL system?

Can I hack the Pokedex on B&W so all pokemon are "seen"
07 April 2011 - 02:39 PM
I don't know a single person in real life who plays Pokemon because people don't play these type of games where I live, I've always been the only person I know who plays these games so I have no way of filling up my Pokedex.
I just want to make it so my Pokedex in White shows every pokemon as if I've seen it so I can request them on the GTS.
I use Pokesav to move Pokemon from Platinum to White(then use the daycare to have them registered in the Pokedex, it's a fix I accidentally discovered when breeding my Eevees) but Pokesv won't let me edit the pokedex in any way.

How do I get these Pokemon Platinum Event Distros to work?

I tried running a whole bunch of them and they won't work no matter what.
I have the distros all nicely organized in .nds file format.
- I run an event on one of my DS', hit a to start the transfer and the game running on my other DS, nothing happens.
- I tried entering the wireless trade place where I normally trade pokemon between my two DS's, there's nothing there
- I checked the mail on my computer, nothing
All the guide said was to run an event distro on one system and the game on the other and it won't work.
botht the distros and my ROM are US
I have two DS's, a DS Lite and a DSi XL, the lite has an AceKard 2 and the XL has an AceKard2i, both ace cards are on AKAIO 1.8.6 and I don't have any problems transferring Pokemon from one DS to the other.
Edit: I tried doing the same with two DeSmeMu's and that didn't work either

Is there anything I can do to force my DSiXL to turn off?
03 March 2011 - 05:10 PM
and this is why I hate digital controls, this wouldn't have happened on my DS Lite.
I was playing Pokemon White and put the DSi XL in sleep mode/standby, next thing I know the light which was previously blue and at full charge flashes red and I can't turn the DS off or reset it.
It's been doing this for 20 minutes now.
The game worked perfectly, the soft reset on my AceKard 2i did so too
I figured I'd quit Pokemon, take the flashcart out and see if I can't turn the DS off that way, no dice it's just stuck on the main menu now with the red light blinking as if the battery is about to run out.
I have a DS XL I can and probably will let this run out of juice but that might take a while
is there a way for me to force it to turn off?
edit: since holding the power button doesn't work I'll just let the battery run out
Let this topic be a warning to DSi owners guys, if you have the Black and White ROMs and Flashcart 2i do NOT put your system in sleep/standby mode.
This isn't a problem on the DS Lite though

Is there anything I can do to play AP2.5 games on non LT+ fw?
15 February 2011 - 05:11 AM
I can easily patch games using that one Wave Patcher tool, my current 360's firmware is whatever the latest before LT+ was in 2009, problem is I can't play games with AP 2.5 on it even if I patch them to wave3.
I have that new white Dahsboard that "Need For Speed: Hot Pursuit" but I can't play that game because of AP2.5 even after patching it to wave3.
I can play MvC3 just fine from what I've seen though
I know it's easy to update to LT+, but I can't open the 360 up myself or the comptuer, I really am no good at that regardless of how simple it may be and I don't feel like paying $30 to a professional modder here to do it, but I will if I absolutely have to I guess.
I don't care about Live, I'm not banned but my system is probably flagged to hell and back because I play everything on it and I never go online anyway
