Yes, I've used it like that.

Pretty much the main codes I want to have GBAATM employ right now (and can't) are:
CODE
Enable Code (Must Be On)
0000186A 000A
10017FC6 0007

Infinite Coins
820048E0 270F

Hold Select For Stat Bonus Always +9
74000130 03FB
33003F82 0009

These codes are meant for Mario & Luigi Superstar Saga.

Using GBAATM's DEADBEEF feature, I can play the ROM with no problems, and find plenty of DEADBEEF space in the memory viewer on VBA.

Yet every single time I try to put ANY codes there at all, the game will simply fade to white after the "Game Boy Player" startup logo fades away. I can't play the game at all when I patch these codes in.

I've tried:
  • Changing wait cycles from 1 to 127, 255
  • Unchecking and rechecking "Wait for VBLANK" box on each change of cycles
  • Selecting alternate memory addresses to patch the codes into (those that DID show DEADBEEF)

So far, every attempt has resulted in the same unplayable game. frown.gif

GBAATM worked nicely to add Pokemon Emerald, Fire Red and Leaf Green cheats for use with M3SD Perfect. I pulled the primary codes from Gameshark.com and decrypted with cbacrypt. The particular settings were:

Patches - Trainer
Enabled at Start - Yes
Trainer Menu - enabled
Execute every 255 cycles
VBLANK check - disabled
RAM to use 0x3007FA0
Code type - Codebreaker/GS v3

Finally, use FileTrip Download Link M3 Game manager v36a to transfer the ROM to your SD card using default settings.

Thanks for the help. I haven't been able to test anything at all or be online much due to being evacuated from flooding. I will add those setting to the ini when I get the chance.

Very simple question but Ive tried to find an answer, when created a Trainer Menu, I format my cheats like this:

Quote

Cheats 1
B05557898BBD
F95340E4DFFD
B02FC0E07138
8027CBC08B39

Cheat 2
19C67C656689
94318A10E753

Cheat 3
19C67C656689
94318B106753

But when I run the ROM it only shows Cheat 1 in the trainer menu, is there some special spacing or charactor I must use?

Pretty good software; I love how I can patch a RPG with a cheat that will let me gain exp faster, like when I wanted to play Pokémon My Ass but didn't want to struggle through the game.
