Please, Heran, just shut up. Sorry to be rude but Mother series has an -huge-, active and strong fanbase.
Starmen.net is online shouting, protesting, informing, demanding, doing anything to promote Mother fanbase and begging Nintendo of America to reconsider their actual position concerning the series for years now.

This translation have -many- people of Starmen.net crew working on it. The project's blog is only a way to show the strong fanbase part by part of the translation process. Not so many translation groups actually do this, reporting with so many details the so-fully-awaited english patch.

I'm sorry that you think this aren't going anywhere and apparently expect this project to fail. If you don't want to add something truly useful to this topic, please don't post here.

Noticed revision of the admins post

i just hope they do get around to finishing it (I'm majorly hoping they do since some of my favorite game's are (j) only)

Like Bit generation's (does this count since 99% of it is in English?)
Crayon Shin-Chan (Insert long ass name for something movies)
Star Ocean
DQM:Heart of caravan

But you do know that the translation patch for "DQM: Caravan Heart" is available now, don't you?

The patch is excellent too, no Engrish at all, very well done and 2 years was easily worth the wait!
Read the patch creators blog, it's very interesting as this was his first ever translation and his blog tells of how it came to be, a great read for anyone interested in ROM translation.

The starmen.net crew? The same people who were handing out bans at any mention of the "rom" or a translation thereof when the game game out?

Yeah there is a strong fanbase. That's not totally relevant to the hack on the huge fanbase isn't working on it, just a handful of dedicated professionals.
You're right. Not many groups do the blog thing. That was what I was saying way back months ago on the last page.

I never said that I thought the project was going no where nor did I say it was going to fail. You sir, are putting words into my mouth. I infact said that I think it will be eventually finished and I will gladly play it. Just because I don't agree with how they are going about things doesn't mean I can't admire their work. Tomato knows what he's doing and has indeed has a good track record. You are making up what you think I said, dude. You are a liar and a bad internet poster. I encourage you to go back and read the posts you are referring to.

It may take forever, but you can tell it'll be unbelievable with people like Tomato and Neo (of Neo Demiforce fame).

At least some hope of actually being able to appreciate that game the way it deserves to be appreciated

No, the full translation isn't out.
There is a half-baked, shitty translation that includes menu's, items, and a few other things.
It's fully playable, as the game kind of hints of where to go to next (but if you have trouble, just use the Starmen.net Mother3 Walkthrough Guide).

If I were you, I'd wait though.
The full translation will be so much better to play, as you'll be able to understand everything. The story, items, etc.

Keep up with the translation progress at Mother3.Fobby.net.

I hope we get to play with a fully done hack sometime this year. But something is telling me that won't happen. I still can't believe Nintendo has no intention on bringing this over for us.

I really hope NoA changes their mind and eventually get Mother 3 released over here somehow, but that's just wishful thinking considering how they hate the series just because it failed at the time of it's debut over here on the SNES. I played the NES and SNES game and loved them both so I'd be happy to buy Mother 3 if it ever comes out in the US.

Sometimes I wonder why NoA hasn't realize how strong the mother fanbase has become over here. The fan translation should've gone through to their heads that America really wants this game to come out over here.
