how do you create a skin for the ttds? i tried but all i get is a blurred background

Do you have the correct resolutions? Sounds like the background is being compressed OR stretched, which means that it's too big OR too small.

i got this error when i open it Error say The application fail to initialize properly (0xc0000135)
click on OK to terminate the application. can anyone help

I prefer editing/producing pictures with photoshop/paint and then only using this program for previewing the outcome >.>.

No special formats, just properly-sized BMPs. My buddy DiD put together a walk-through/tutorial that you can read through here. Hope this puts you (and others) on the right track.
