I have the latest wiimc installed with hombrew channel running ios 58. I open the channel installer, i select install, after 2 seconds it pops up with an installation failed message and kicks me out of the program. Does anyone know a work around to my problem or a way I can just install a WAD version of the forwarder? Maybe an idea what could be causing the failure?

backup your SD, format it using a SD formatter and not OS, then copy contents back and try the installer again, i had this problem with the FCEU Channel Installer

Just tried it and still failed. I even got a usb drive and atempted to run the installer off of there with the same failed result.
