Even if it doesn't hold up at all, it's nice that we have access to this... interesting attempt at a port. I'm not sure if it was doomed from the start or what; after all, Konami had success with their Gameboy version of Metal Gear Solid.

While linking any warez site is a no-no, the most basic Google searching can find it easily enough.

BTW, RE's Game.com screenshots are somewhat better than this GBC version... I think.

I've had a Tiger Game.com and RE2 on it and its one hell of a blurry mess with hardly like 2 frames of animation for each move! The sound effects is decent for what it was though.

From what I've played of the GBC version though its much more of a proper RE experience than the Game.com one though for me the sound is what lets it down massively.

Huh. I never knew they even attempted such a thing. Reminds me of the GBC version of Donkey Kong Country. I didn't like that one, incidentally.

I guess being an "old school" gamer I'm actually enjoying this cart.

If it should remind you of anything then I guess it'd be Alone in the Dark for the GBC.

I agree. But I'm speaking in the context of inferior ports, and Donkey Kong GBC was, to my mind, very inferior, as Resident Evil GBC apparently was.

(Plus I've never touched the Alone in the Dark franchise)

For anyone who's interested (and did not find this already) there is a bug fix at romhacking.net

RE2 is an alright game on the Game.com, but the screen is SO BAD that you couldn't play it anyway.

I hadn't had a Game.com... How does it compare with the Gameboy screen? I remember playing Mario on that once and it was OK.
