I want to play WindWaker on the wii but my wii dont read cd`s anymore since i updated (it has a chip in it, (DEFECT i think))
so is it possible to load GameCube games via USB?
with the 222.dol as loader? because my wii only detect my external hardware via that dol (it worked for CFG Usbloader, Usbloader GX)
and if it is possible what programs must i use to copy the game to the external hardware and to load the GC game, what kind of IOS and must the game be specific from my region EU

No.
DML can launch GC games from an SD card though. |

2GB is enough for a gamecube game.
Postloader has a workaround for the issue: it can see gamecube games both on the USB drive and the SD card. Starting a game on the USB drive automatically copies it over to the SD card (assuming there's enough space) before starting it. A convenient solution, though time consuming (10 minutes before everything's copied is perfectly normal). Check this thread to install DML...and then read Lucif3r's replies some more: it is NOT possible to read GC games from USB. And neither from an external drive. And not from a stick, a USB key or whatever else sort of synonym you can come up with. |

Wrong,
you CAN load GC games from a variety of devices, including external USB HDDs/Sticks. The catch is that you can not use the Wiis USB port to do it. But there are ways around that. WODE can load GC from USB devices among other things. Iirc Swiss can load from a harddrive or PC too. (Both are/need hardware of course.) |

You COULD use an external HDD with an IDE-EXI adapter and run them with Swiss. An SD Gecko and another SD card would be cheaper
