i have been using my ds lite for at least 3 years and now when i charge it the charge lite comes on and then goes out so probably me battery pack is expired but can i run it on ac power if i take out the battery pack and then charge it until i get a new battery pack........need help!!!!

I had that problem before and the issue was there was dust inside the charging slot... I just blew in the charging slot for a few secs and the problem fixed.
