And Fate/extra? I had to actually look that up because I thought it was a Japan-only game! LOL I'll think about that one. It looks fun... Might have to ask my friend to send me their PSP instead of another Xbox game next time (we borrow each others' games from time to time, but live far apart so we have to mail each other the games).

The only ties VC1 has to 2 is that there's a few characters that make short cameo-ish appearances in VC2. It can stand by itself just fine. Though if your friend hasn't played VC1...they're missing out on one of the best games of all time, so, yeah.

As for Fate/extra, yeah it's damn fun. I wasn't too sure about the combat system at first, but it manages to keep interesting through the entire game, and the story is really fun to follow.
