I'd like to send it to her, its running fine on my 3DS latest firmware on both the system and the cart. She has a DSi with updated firmware and I was wondering will my Acekard 2i run fine on her system if I send it to her?

Yes, if your ak2i is running fine on your 3ds that has the latest firmware, your ak2i will also run on the latest dsi firmware.
